Would banning The Stirrers Benefit this Board??

May I suggest looking at the bigger picture?

Thsi thread is not specific to one area.

We have several QPR messageboards, just if the taste doesn't suit cannot understand being here.

Sorry Pete but if there is anyone struggling to look at the bigger picture here it is you.

There is no greater example of stirring in the history of QPR Messagboards than the campaign to smear Paulo Sousa and oust him from his role as QPR Coach.

Your problem is you want it all own way, your attempts to smear me and TB failed badly last week. You seem to have double standards and you contradict yourself a lot. The fact is when you are challenge by witty intelligent posters you seem to struggle more and more to hold your own.

Your creating a rod for your own back, if you are going to ban people for having a different opinion to you then do it and stop talking about it. Name your list of 'stirrers' let us see who you have a problem with because I for one am getting bored of the threats.

Ask yourself this though, how will you handle the backlash from other posters for banning people for having no more than a difference of opinion to you, will you then start banning them as well?

I like this board. It's interesting, has a wide range of interesting characters and viewpoints and I've never denigrated it on any other board I visit.

This "stirrers" campaign all smacks of "it's my ball and I'm taking it home".

I really don't get it. Everyone has the option to use the "ignore" function.

Whats interesting is people including myself have been banned and labelled a stirrer which in fact could be argued as so if this was not a forum for open/non judgemental/objective debate and opinions.

What irks is that if someone offers an opinion/fact on a subject that goes against the grain it ruffles a few feathers and gets people noses bent out of shape.

For example: The latest KICK UP THE RS talks about the training ground being closed. It was, just ask a groundsman next time you visit. The point is the club lied, sent out an email out to a mb by kit man Gary Doyle denying it all. Why make such an effort to deny it. Why not just be open and honest and far less damage would have been done. Its this era of spin from both sides which fans have seen through and where it has come from. I think fellow fans should and need to know THE TRUTH dont you?

Now especially you pete why keep defending the indefendable. Youre making yourself look silly. You put up that post by GD and said it must be true then. This is why threads get hijacked and you get flack. Again its defending the indefendible. Please, please people are just telling at times what they think and why. Be open to it.

I read and post here because it is purely and whole heartedly entertaining. We can debate all day about the team for the weekend or man of the match but quite frankly it doesnt exactly have a lot of legs. Politics and debates have and will go hand in hand on this planet as long as humans live and breathe on it.

And if people love there club no more or no less then anyone here and see things in a different light so be it. A dose of humility doesnt do anyone any harm.

Yeah, I agree mate, but it is very repetitive. I can't remember a day without accusations of spin, rimming and provocating.

I just can't get my head round why it really matters?

W12 Ranger keeps going on about Sousa and blames Pete when we have already put posts up about those events which took place, the person who posted has also spoken but W12 keeps bringing this up again and again, I'm really getting bored of that now and needs to accept the fact this site had nothing to do with it.

We can't provide anymore facts other then what proof we have, we can't change the truth because that is what happend, he needs to leave that alone and move on.

If he can't accept the truth and going to keep telling others that Pete is to blame then I'm happy to ban him for that, we can't provide anymore than what has already been said.

Also the fact if anyone else went on another site and was doing the same then they would have been banned long time ago.

How can one man on his own get someone the sack when another man has half the supporters against him and they still can't get him out?

If the person who posted this didn't come forward then W12 would have something to go by but him posting should have killed all that talk.

From what I understand there is little doubt that the training ground was closed on that day and that someone at the club tried to hide the fact. However, there may have been a very good reason for it which they couldn't really admit at the time.

The club was in a deep a financial hole back then and as has since been revealed a lot of bills/creditors were unpaid and the rest were paid using the fire fighting (or who shouts loudest) method. If a business is being operated like this then the slightest thing can bring down the whole "deck of cards". If some of the largest creditors were to read in the newspaper that the QPR training ground was shut due to unpaid bills then alarm bells would ring and they might start to call in their own debts or apply to have the club taken into administration. So it would have been in the club's interest to deny this accusation at all costs, in fact the "lies/denials" might have even saved the club from going into administration months before Flavio & Co came in.

DISCLAIMER - This is my own take on the events and I have no solid evidence about the state of the clubs finances at this time other than what was published in "Hooped Dreams".

Maybe our resident Accountant QPRDad can give a better understanding as to whether what I have suggested is likely

Because I didn't like his style (still don't) and kept on about it, a witch-hunt started to focus on my postings that were simply against the way we played.
