Am i the only one who isn't that impressed by Readings run. Who of note have they beaten in the league. Ok they have won 5 on the bounch at home but lets have a look at the sides they beaten Barnsley 1-0 (We beat them 5-2), Plymouth 2-1 (We beat them 2-0), Sheff Wed 5-0 (Not played them at home yet but we beat them away 2-1), Derby 4-1 (same as sheff wed we beat them 4-2 away) & Bristol City 2-0 (We beat them 2-1 and that was with Hart in charge!). If they had the likes of Newcastle, WBA, Forest, Leicester, Swansea or even Cardiff in that run then i might take note. I expect nothing less then an easy win tomorrow, we are by far the better team.
That there, has made me feel so much more positive about tonight now!
You can only beat the teams you are up against.9 goals in 2 games, only 2 vs bristol ( a solid championship team) and by match reports should have scored more than 2. Take this also with fact that they drew with then beat livepool and also came close to beating villa. Pretty certain they beat another prem team?
Let's face it, had we not had that mini circus we'd be in the play-offs and looking at tonight's game as an expected win. Yes it's true you can only beat what you're up against and well done to them for doing that but that doesn't strike the fear of god into me. Wins and near misses in the cup don't mean anything when it comes to the league. Tonight they will have to deal with an inform Adel, Simpson, Faurlin and in general a revitalised rangers side that too could have had far more goals than they have scored in recent games. 3 Points are on the way :yush:
