lets face it, it comes back to the old pricing problem. we dont feel as though we've had value for money this season. thats not necessarily the players fault, some of them just arent good enough to live up to the level of expectation we all had.
I stayed.
Mainly for Gaz (who's really been messed about) and the players who DO give everything -- people like Gorkss, Mahon (even though he's not the best midfielder in the world), Connolly, Ramage etc.
they have had two managers. so thats two lots of tactics and training methods they have to get used to. two lots of upheavel and in one case heavy media critism. they have the chairman giving team talks the sporting director signing fellow players
and people wonder where its gone wrong this season
Still no reason to not stay and applaud the players who have had to put up with this situation.
It's not their fault. They can only play to the tactics and team selctions they are given.
Not asking much to stay behind for 5 minutes and show them how much you care about your team.
Obviously many of you don't love your team as much as you like to claim on here.

"had to put up with this situation" Do you mean the situation of being very wealthy sportsmen, who have more money than the vast majority of most fans outside of the comfy seats in SA who love this club enough to part with hundreds, if not thousands of pounds to pay these players salaries?
they are still paid thousands a week regardless. i had to sit through the managerial upheaval and they werent paying me a dime. as a season ticket holder and therefore one of many who pay their wages, i reserve the right to leave before clapping the players for an overpriced and decidedly average season. doesnt mean i love the club any less than the people who stayed.
i supported them by turning up every week and applauding when i felt the need. i am not one of the boo boys. i appreciate certain players efforts on the whole and think cerny and gorkks in particular have been excellent. but you claimed i did not love the club because i was one of the thousands who left before clapping their lap of honour. and there in lies the problem, lap of honour indeed. another 0-0 bore draw just summed it all up for me. i honestly think i truly enjoyed only 2 home games this season.. brum in the snow and sheff wed a couple of weeks ago.
having said all that, i'm renewing my 2 season tickets and just hope next season, we all have something to really applaud after the final home game.
Was not having a pop at you Sir Les,i was just a bit dissapointed at the amount of fans that stayed behind to applaud the players that so many 'fans' claim to love and support.
These are obviously the ones that were calling for Blackstock and Camp when they were at Forest, which IMO,is the best place for them.
i didnt want to stay, they dont deserve my round of applause for their efforts this year. Should be wearing their heart on their sleeve but all they care about is money, disgraceful.
and you know that for a fact...it's all about the money...not possible in your eyes then they could just be unhappy at the way things are run at the club....just a thought specially as so many on here say the club is run badly, you never know the players might feel the same....
i know myself i cannot give 100% if the workplace is not a good place to be
i think its just a reaction to the season as a whole. one that had more downs than ups. there was almost a sense that many are glad its over. its not been the best of seasons, arguably because of the general over inflated expectation levels.
lets be positive though, hopefully the people with the power will learn from the errors that have been made and next season will see an improvement in performances and results that will unite the supporters and end a lot of the disagreements and disharmony that we have seen and all been guilty of this season.
"First time ive ever left before the lap of honour ..or pitch invasion(ah the good old days) must say if they couldnt be bothered to play today .. i couldnt be bothered to stay and applaud them"
Spot on my friend.
And to add, some of them earn in a month, what takes me blood, sweet and tears to earn in a year.
