  • campaign for a mike keen memorial

well done the club for the minutes applause for mike keen but many qpr fans are asking for
    1) a statue or bust for mike keen
    or
    2) a stand named after him

the only qpr capt to lift a major trophy

many clubs have similar for their past heroes , why not qpr...

a simple way is to email club via the FEEDBACK FORM on the offy site....

no need to mention £10k chandeliers and losses but "something" should be done...
    over to you qpr fans....

I think its a good shout but I think Jim Gregory should have a stand named after him first.

Either way it certainly would be another step in the right direction by the club.

I agree with a statue, a lot of clubs are doing it now (eg.Bobby Moore at West Ham)
        Queens Park Rangers
        NPower Champions 2010/2011

PREMIER LEAGUE 2011 - ETERNITY (Oh well got that wrong, we'll be back though)

The only place you could put a statue is at the back of the Loft, TBH I don't think we have the space to accommodate a statue in and around the ground.

True i suppose, spacewise. IMO SAR would be the ideal location though, wider pavement there.

club can move forward with ideas....once they agree, fans want something

a bust could be in stone, placed in a created alcove??
              a fresco?
easiest thing is to name a stand after him.....

he lifted our only major trophy and that year also lifted the div3 title, the football lge refused qpr entry in uefa cup...

I think this is a wonderful idea, and becuase ellerslie road is tough on the tounge, think that stand should be called the Mike Keen stand. Amit has talked about embrassing the history of the club, perfect opportunity! Good suggestion the modfather!

A statue of Mike with the League Cup, on the shoulders of the others, would be a great tribute to him, and also to the point at which this club stepped up a level. It should be life size and put outside the main entrance in SA to remind us of our heritage.
                  RIP: Doug, Sniffer and Pat

Naming stands, creating statues etc are all somewhat transient.

Name the Player of the Year award, "The Mike Keen Player of the Year Award"
