Priskin - a bit of balance

I was there when Tamas made his debut - awaful, woeful, uninterested, lazy and so on and so on.
What made it worse was he "played" up front with Bent so in effect there was always 4 goal posts in Peterboroughs half.

It seems obvious now that for TP to be rated by many fans he will need to consistently beat 4 players and rifle 25 yarders into the net.

He's been getting dogs abuse from some sections last 2 games - a bit unwarranted I feel.
When a player has wound me up as much as Priskin did at Peterborough I always pay close attention to them over next few games to allow them to convince me different. Whilst not turning things completely on their head I must admit TP is getting me back on side.

Balance your view of him so:-
Not played many games at all this season - playing his way to fitness?
Came into a complete and utter circus and a side bereft of confidence.
Our loyal fans on his back (me included) in his debut.
Now being asked to play a role whereby he shuffles into the right hand side when we've not got possession.
Link man to Simmo his main role so not going to get a glut of chances

In my opinion he's coming on.
I've seen him track back and get around the pitch far more than players such as Pellicori or Vine have this season.
He has won more headers from throws and long balls than you'd think.
Won the penalty last night you may have noted?
Has held the ball up slightly more than he's given it away.

I do get the feeling there's more to come from him - does have a tendancy to go to ground clutching his head and can appear a bit too laid back at times. Hasn't really peppered keepers with shots but see above comment on Simmo link man.

In summary - GIVE HIM A CHANCE PEOPLE!!!!

Oh, and Tamas, my message to you would be --- get yourself some good old traditional black footy boots.
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Everyone gets a chance mate. All the guy has to do is work his nuts off, don't bottle any challenges, go in strong for everything on the deck and in the air, show some commitment and show he's proud to be here wearing the famous hoops.

It's not difficult. If he did that people will make allowances for you. Unfortunately in two games he hasn't.

I'll give you my balanced view.......

An absolute waste of space with a terrible goal-scoring record. Not good enough for high-flying ITFC, enough said.

Get rid and give his place to someone who gives a stuff.

bless him. If priskin applied himself the same as ramage he would be a right handful.
I wish ramage all the best. He appears to be a model pro and you can't help but like him... However...

Would i buy him...probaly not but hes playing for us until the end of the season. NW obviously sees something in him, and we have won the last 2 games with him starting, so hes likely to feature in the following games.

              so what should fans do.....

1, get behind him and hopefully this will spur him on to help continue our fight against the drop,

2, nah, lets make him the latest boo-boy. Thats going to help the clubs cause.

              Incredibly sad.
Just to clarify a few points.

              1) We are not asking you or anyone else what NW thinks we are asking a fans view

2)I've NEVER EVER booed a QPR player in 27 years of watching & don't intend to start now so talk of people making him a boo boy is very wide of the mark. The bottom line is he's not a very good footballer end of.

3)NW as you know cannot buy players so its not as if he has much choice of height up front is it? So you saying NW obviously sees something in him means very little because I will bet my bottom dollar as soon as NW can buy Priskin will be gone.

Totally agree that NW will get his own men in when possible. Im banking on it to be honest as its not just upfront where we are lacking.
Im not even disputing that he may not be the next maradona, im just saying that it seems he is likely to feature throughout the rest of the season, and it would be more beneficial to THE CLUB if he was supported and not become the latest target for the fans.(mind you he could do with losing the boots).

Im sure if hes as bad as many are making out, he will not feature much as NW is no mug, but while he is featuring, imo fans should be behind him.

Totally agree Mutley. I don't rate him personally but I will cheer him on for the good of the team / club. I don't like the scapegoat nonsense.

what I have noticed is that everytime adel goes forward, then TP drops back to cover the midfield role, and adel doesnt do too much of the midfield role, so I could imagine TP is not sure where he fits in on the pitch. I've seen him asking for ball to feet outside the area, and he seems to have no interest in heading, seems to duck away.
