I spoke to a palace fan on Sunday at the coaching course I sm doing for my fa youth module 1. He seemed happy Hart was there, I told him that he was a **** manager. He said we were welcome to Warnock, well cheers cos he is class. He tried to tell me Warnocks heart wasn't in it for them last couple of games, I can't imagine that. I told him Ambrose wud be ours, he thought that was all paper talk! I then said their administrator does anything for money which he didn't agree with. This bloke also used to go watch luton!
On there MB they call him phart, and tonight questioned his tactics and substitutions, they are not happy, worst football they have seen there team play for a long time,no one seemed up for it.....ring any bells ...
Palace are exactly where we were when Olly first arrived. In Administration, on the way down with a new manager, who will be unable to do anything to stop the slide and with an ex-owner wanting payback from the Administrators.
However, whilst QPR is the only club I know who could fall into a bucket of lady bumps and come out sucking our thumb, PalARSE are apt to fall into a bucket of poo and come up smelling of roses...
So, I expect them to survive this season, come out of Administration paying no more than 10p in the pound for their debts (unlike us, who appear to have been the only club in the history of the football league who came out of Admin paying £1 in the £1 of debt...), get taken over by a moderately 'rich' owner and push on for the Play-offs next season, probably just edging us out by a single goal scored.
Now, context. My older brother is PalARSE and, since we nicked Venables in the eighties along with their best players and knocked them out of the cup in '82 on our way to Wembley, they have consistently bested us. OK, there was the 6-0, but they had nothing to play for that day and Kevin Miller, their 'keeper clearly couldn't be bothered; there has also been a 3-0 at Selhurst that made me smile as my girlfriend at the time asked my brother, 'I thought the home team was meant to win', but other than that nowt.
So, hopefully, now we have pinched their manager again, we can nick their best players then beat them in the cup QFs next season, which these days would mean a day out at Wembley even if we lose the SF.
