Just a few random thoughts from me, everyone else seems to have had theirs... so I'll give mine from the point of view of a normal QPR fan, who knows nobody on this site, defends nobody for the sake of it, or has any "agenda". (I hate that phrase!)
I see Gianni Paladini as a slippery, crafty little salesman/agent, who got in a bit over his head financially when he bought into QPR. And juggled his way out of it.
And believe it or not... that is a compliment.
Every club could do with a crafty ex-agent, who knows how these blokes work... and his experience in dealing with agents/greedy footballers is very useful. And we should channel his abilities down that route. A kind of "Club Agent" role, to assist Warnock with £££ matters, negotiations etc..
I like the fact that he's a ducker and diver, a bit "slippery", and knows how other slippery people work (Agents). I'm not so sure that Ishan or Amit are the most suitable people to deal with a certain type of person, unique to football. They lack the experience of how these blokes work. How football works.
Mr Paladini does understand these crafy b******s, because he was one. And I'm sure that's why the new owners have left him to do that job... rather than the ridiculous role he previously held, which he was given by a very ridiculous Orange Man. Briatore was, in terms of his football knowledge - a complete idi0t.
What I DON'T like about GP is the amount of time he and his staff clearly spend looking at fans messageboards, occasionally posting on them (FACT), and answering his phone to anyone who wants a "little chat" about QPR stuff.
We all want more communication with the fans, and I have no problem with the radio show, or his meeting with SM, (who is getting some ridiculous stick for that)... and a Fans Forum or two is a great idea, and should be encouraged.
But if you're reading this Mr Paladini (or any of his staff), I think you should get offline, stop the leaks from the club, concentrate 100% of your time in helping Neil Warnock do his job, make sure all the staff at QPR are happy and pulling the same way, and act in a more professional way... rather than trying to be "Mr Popular", and convincing people who are never going to believe a word you say anyway that you are a "nice bloke, with QPR at heart".
Because I actually think you are those things... but you simply open your gob too much, and spend too much time reading extreme (from both sides) snapshot views on websites, and caring about what fans think of you, rather than just getting your head down and doing your job in a professional manner.
Grow up, shut up, get offline, and do what you're undoubtably good at.... dealing with slippery sods, by being more slippery than them - for the good of QPR.
And as for SM... yes I've spoken to him, so I know he is 100% genuine.
Thank you. You've done nothing wrong, and at least you didn't do that piece just to raise your "profile" or grab attention.
I know that.
You don't have to fight your corner every 2 minutes, just leave it mate.
And safe trip over... and back.
Very good post Goddard, I think you speak (or write) as many think on here.
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

My Dad and my brother don't use them and don't know/couldn't care less about the back room shenanigans. They only moaned about the lotto kit having ridiculous sizes.
I think my brother's missus was extremely put out to be bought a "large" shirt when she's a size 12!
