Maybe you need to remember than Southampton FC never went into Administration , that was their holding company.

You cannot separate the two and whatever way you spin this, the bare facts are (yet again) that the club is still failing to balance the books even whilst screwing us for more money on the gate.

Also, the accounts confirm that there's been little investment as the money has only been loaned to the club.

Now stop spinning and deal with those FACTS.
take your head out the sand fella

remember the abc loan? yeah you know the one that had a crippling rate of interest, well that had to be repaid

Can you name another club of our size that is running at a profit?

lets deal with those facts first then we can progress this conversation fella

                        You did.

The football side is making a small profit, the financial side is losing a shed load a year. Yet this is meant to be good?

There are teams running at a profit, just being naive and trying to sway it so it looks like its rosy, when it isnt.

OK My take on this re-reading them is two things come out of it.

                              1) We are heavily in debt and running at a loss
                              2) That debt increased by circa £5 million last year

RE: point 2) I'm actually surprised it was only £5million, what with falling crowds (both home and away), the recession, 72 managers to pay off etc.

RE: point 1) This is the key one that we are still running at a pretty substantial loss. Now, with a packed Loftus Road we can probably claw back, slowly the deficit but well, that will be wiped out and the cash flow dented even more once we have to pay back Caliendo his £2million next year.

So it adds up to one thing..Premiership football. IMHO we will never ever be a self sustaining business until we get to the Prem. In Prem terms our debt is actually very small I would say but, we need to get there next season else we will either have to rely on the mittals genorisity for life or we will go bust.

So, speculate to accumulate, Neil needs a war chest..we can no longer do things the FB way with freebies, loans and 2nd rate players.

Oh and i may think FB is an odious, horrible man who has messed up our club something rotten but i cant deny he has spent money.

                                Yes, 1 team, well done.

Stoke have come out with figures showing they are in the profits, same with Bolton, Burnley.

West Brom are running at a profit.

I could research more teams but no point. Just pointing out that not all teams are running at a loss.
