Fulham is a typically diverse London area with something for everyone - from the hustle and bustle of North End Road Market, to the refined chicness of the iconic Fulham Road. It boasts superb pubs and restaurants, two Premier League football clubs and excellent transport links.

Look like those desperate wasted lone signings in January are costing us in more ways than one.

I think the issue is more to do with the amount we can have per season.

I thought I read somewhere that Priskin has been sent back from whence he came....
        That's one less already
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

        2015/2016, average at best.....

        2016/2017, same old, same old....

        2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

I think there is a limit to loans made during the season, and QPR might just have reached it. And bringing in loans such as Reid and the Chelsea keeper for just a few weeks hasn't helped.

That's just a guess, if there is a way to do it, surely we will. Lets not jump the gun.

I just phoned the oh so helpful Football League to find how I could get hold of the rules, their answer was "the rules are in our handbook and it costs £16.99".

So I did a bit of googling and have nicked this off a Geordie Website, it was dated Sept 2009:-

                Quote from: NUFC.com
The Football League have now confirmed the situation regarding loans as follows:
If anybody has the latest copy of the football league handbook, the rules for loans are in there

Standard loans can be for half a season or a full season. These can only be done during the two transfer windows (i.e. by the end of today or in January 2010).

Emergency loans can be done outside of the transfer window, but not after the fourth Thursday in November or March.

A club can have a maximum of four players under 23 and a further four over 23 on standard loan during the season. There is no limit on Emergency Loans.

However, only four players maximum can join one club from another during the season.

A maximum of five loan players can be named on a team sheet.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

                  Well done Dave for that.

I'm not sure I should be pointing this out but haven't we already had more than eight loans this season (if you count the ones who have already gone back)???

Probably, but there is no limit on 'emergency' loans, if we're to believe what's written up there?!

Crazy situation -- what we need is a Director of Football to ensure the squad is well balanced, well planned and well thought of Plan B's in place.

WHOOPS! Lookslike we had someone - but all they could do "well" was sort out the well paid side of the equation.

Our saving grace may well be no limit to emergency loans
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Was George Boyd to Forest an emergency loan? I guess it must have been because it was outside of the transfer window. So I'm thinking the rule doesn't apply to what position they play.

I don't think it does. We have found ways round the 'emergency' system plenty of times, so I suppose we'll have to wait and see...
