  • Taarabt and Warnock and The new era

    hearing:

    - the way we do things is now different
    - manager makes the decisions etc
    - warnock wouldn't have come unless 100% in control

im curious to ask fellow R's - do you play taarabt saturday?

i ask because vs WBA he was such a threat he created so much that day.

also - if warnock is in control and taarabt KNOWS this.. will taarabt give warnock 110%?

it could backfire in that taarabt stays the same as doesnt pass.. which would lead to warnock subbing him - and hammering him (rightly so) for it. - then we will see if player power is now "gone"..

taarabt can be such a force for us.. but he can also be a negative force against us.

    thoughts?

I dont think Colin is the type to tolerate player power. Its either his way or the highway, which is how it should be. If Taarabt hasn't learnt that, he needs to learn it fast.

during the magilton reign.. there was glimpses of the taarabt could one day be a world beater.. if he just played for the team and not himself.

and because we need that bit of quality im not against having him in squads till end of the season.

agree he has been a liability at times, but on his day taarabt is a fantastic player and causes so many problems for other teams.
i say give him a chance under warnock, i think he will get the best out of adel.
and if adel still doesnt pass or give 100%, and then sulks when NW goes nuts at him, get rid.

I think this is make or break now for Taarabt. He'll either knuckle down and give 100% or he won't fit in and will disappear. Hope he does ok as he has the potential to be great.

RE Taarabt - It was a game on Sky which I think had something to do with why he put in a good shift. Don't get me wrong I think he is quality when on his game BUT when he's not bothered he's a waste of a man. I a good side he'll shine but when you have to grind out results I think is where it becomes an open question.

My opinion - I think he's our most dangerous player and should be one of the first on the team sheet. He can make things happen and regardless of what people say about his bad attitude, we simply don't look dangerous when he's not on the field.

He is to lazy and to set in his ways to change now, just because Neal Warnock has arrived. People laugh when I say he will end up the same as Jimmy Smith.

Agree with Dazzer and Wegerle. Good managers get good performances out of good players. Rather have a talented player who needs to learn than an average player who can't learn. That said he does need to put in a shift and am confident Warnock will get the best out of him.

He (Taarabt) is similar is some ways to Scott Sinclair, only he has more talent but maybe less of a caring sharing heart. Warnock has Sinclair and was very keen to get him back - so we know he doesn't oppose talented players in his teams despite some people's best efforts to argue otherwise.

I suspect Warnock will look closely at him in training and reward him according to the effort and team work he displays there - and that will probably be how it is for all of them!

Earlier in the season, I was an admirer of Tarrabt.

He can turn a game, but put lot of weight on. already says he is leaving end of the season.

                      I wouldn't start him

In fairness if you are a loan player brought in for the season and you are already on your fifth manager its hardly surprising these players want to leave. we are biased because we are fans but players are bound to look at it differently. its been a complete circus.

Warnock will not put up with taarabt's childish tantrum's buzsaky's either. I don't think Warnock will pick Taarabt either as he wants away, to join a bigger club as he states. Warnock's team is usually that pulls together as one and not with single minded players only trying to help themselves and not the club
