Captain ideally is a centre half. We don't really have a hard tough talking leader. Agree Gorkks is the best current candidate. He's done alright this season and deserves a crack at it.
Expecting a big monster of a centre half to join in the summer and take the armband.

        Great minds think alike.

End of the day, I like Legiterwood and we have a lack of leaders.

Think it will help to make a younger player captain. I would be keen on Connolly as it could be the making of him, slight worry would be that is one of the quietest players on the pitch

            You are joking?
You've mentioned this before mate and couldn't dissagree more.

Everytime I've watched him, he organises the deffence. He's always shouting to keep them in line and to push up once we're on the attack. He's a natural leader and Wenger wouldn't have had him as the reserve captian if he wasn't vocal. Honestly mate, I can't believe you said this once, let alone repeted it.

                    Morgan from Sheff Utd!!

I don't like him as a player but he takes no sh't , IS A NATURAL leader , one man you rely on in the trenches AND Warnock knows what he's getting!

Like Connolly and see he's a leader. Just I don't know what his best position is. He reads a game so well and makes a cracking centre half but I can't help but feel he's too lightweight and short. Oh for a extra 6 inches!!! In all seriousness he does get dominated by a big man!

                            Short?

                            He's 6'1"-6'2" at least?!

                              He just looks it!! ;)

Maybe he needs to bulk up a bit. He doesn't fill me with optimism against a Adebola, Lee, Murphy,Harewood, Iwelumo type.

Like the idea of Connolly for the future and agree that our leader should not be a loan just not sure about legs though, bring back the days when you could hear your captain scream across the pitch.
