Interesting, how long will it be before our fans start complaining that we lack ambition by not spending BIG and breaking the bank.
Sounds like to me he is determined not to let QPR become another club in Financial trouble, the only person who will have money at risk is himself and the board, and that is going to determine how much gets spent, this way he can control the prices and values that the club wish to pursue (Family). Once you start to spend BIG and get into external debet, then other pressures outside of the club will start to change this.
I for one agree with the approach, I think we have all learnt a lesson over the last few years and we have all felt what it is like having fans push the baord to spend money the CLUB dosnt have and having a chairman who ego and thurst for making money come before famliy values.
I think most will agree a balance has to be found, so attending games will become enjoyable again. One for all.... and all for one

I've no problem with moderate spending if a) the board sets its expectations accordingly so doesn't, like Briatore, expect instant results without spending the money and b) doesn't go in for loads of hype. And in fairness to Amit he is being very measured and reasonable. But do think there is a decision to be made about whether we are a small family hobby who in time and luck might just "do a Wolves or Burnley" and scrape into the Premiership for a few seasons, or whether he sees a bigger future for us - that is still v unclear.

I like reading your posts as you like SirPie make a lot of sense. With you all there way here but I think it would be wrong to make those things you crave an answer now to be laid out on the table when we have a relegation battle on our hands. Once we are safe I am sure Amit will make his intentions clear for the club.
