You know what I will love the most?
The fact, that very soon you will have to talk about the football side of things, as it will become soon apparant that Warnock will totally responsible for all players coming into the club.
Then, we won't hear from you for a couple of years. It will be so much fun.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Warnock is 61. Before we jump to assumptions that we just said "There you are, have a three and a half year contract."
How about this for a scenario?
Warnock said he has one last job left him. How about he's thinking of retiring at close to 65 like a lot of people - regardless of how much money he has - to go and work on his farm and asked for that contract himself or he wouldn't be interested?
Hence the phrase contract "negotiations".
Just a thought.

He needs to time to build his, team, his squad, his youth set up and stabalise the club. THIS WILL TAKE TIME. Have you learnt nothing???
Give Fergie only 2 years at Utd when he started?
Get rid of Wenger coz they haven't won a trophy for a few years?
He's got a proven record and he needs to know he has time on his side, A 2 Year contract wouldn't have got his buy in and we wouldn't have got our man.

Anything less than 2 and a half years just looks like we really are not comitting to a manager being in it for the long haul.
Come on Pete you can;t have it both ways ...
Too long a contract and we're stuck with him..... Or Not long enough and it shows we don't really believe in him!!!
The contract he has shows willing on QPR's part to provide stability. What kind of message would it give out if he had a 2 year deal like Dowie and Magilton?
To me it says, we are giving you a short contract because if you fail to convince us, we can sack you and not have too much of a compenstaion claim from you.
To me the 3 & a half year deal says;
The 1st half season is to avoid the drop.
The 1st full season is to build a squad to put QPR within reach of the top.
The 2nd is to win promotion
The 3rd to give you your 2nd crack at being a Prem League manager.

Alternatively, we stay up and next season we do a Forest before having a real go for it in 2011/12.
I agree entirely.
QPR are in a relegation battle now.
What if QPR go down?
Warnock will still be here with the task of going straight back up as Norwich look like doing and Leicester did last season.
He will then need a season or two to win promotion again.
