I think having 14 games this season to assess what needs doing and a summer in charge of transfers to blend a team will be good. Think we might be better prepared for next season than some may expect. Either way, if it don't happen next season, will be happy with promotion in two years.

      I like the passionate managers

      Holloway, Magilton and Warnock.

I don't like the boring ones, so honestly believe I will be behind WaRNOCK FOR A VERY LONG TIME, you will question me him well before me

Have you checked with the puppet master before making bold statements like that?

Agree mate. He should be on a rolling contract which is renegotiated every month. If he has a bad run and the team fails to pick up a win one month, then he should be shown the door

So are you saying Paulo Sousa is not a passionate manager, you don't play at the very highest level and win 2 European Cups if you are not passionate about football.

What you mean is you prefer unhinged, loud mouthed, ranting managers who for the best part are tactically inept in comparison to the cool, calm, composed, football intellectual Paulo Sousa.

Another good win for Swansea this weekend I see.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm please we have brought someone to the club who will bring stability. However, we probably let a better Coach go last season who was already bringing stability and laying solid foundations.

Please note Swanseas position in the League, I have no doubt that would have where we would have been at least under Sousa. As for Warnock will he get us there, who knows? There is massive rebuilding to start which started crumbling the day Gianni ousted Sousa.

All I have to say is Good Luck Neil and lets hope the fans and board are patient.

The good thing is that Neil will do it his way and will never listen to Gianni and that is great news for the club. My concerns are Gianni would want his input and I think if we employed Dowie then that concern would increase greatly. It is good we have a no nonsense manager that will make his own decisions. Agree he needs time from the fans and board. I think the board will give him that time not so sure about the fans.

Pete i have to say (and normally you come across sweet as) thats an absolutely rediculous thread.
He needs to time to build his, team, his squad, his youth set up and stabalise the club. THIS WILL TAKE TIME. Have you learnt nothing???
Give Fergie only 2 years at Utd when he started?
Get rid of Wenger coz they haven't won a trophy for a few years?
He's got a proven record and he needs to know he has time on his side, A 2 Year contract wouldn't have got his buy in and we wouldn't have got our man.

I was just slightly concerned thats all

2 and half years would have been enough?

I suppose though if it means stability than this kind of deal does show our intention.

If we go up next year though he will need to be sacked, we will get embarrassed in the prem with him IMO....at the moment I can take it as his the best out of a bad bunch we could attract.
