Not concerned by the length of contract at all. Our only concern should be staying up right now. If Warnock does that then he deserves that length of contract. If we go down then he can't be blamed. He would then have a year in League One followed by two years in the CCC to get us out of it.

Alternatively, we stay up and next season we do a Forest before having a real go for it in 2011/12.

nope, longer the better in my book. we have to move away from this culture at our club of reacting to a few defeats by saying "i know, lets sack the manager, that will sort it - or at least make me feel better momentarily". plus it might make some players realise they can't go crying to the dof to get the manager sacked. for the first time at least since holloway possibly since francis we will have a manager with real authority.

Can't remember you expressing concern when we signed Agyemang on a 4.5 year deal, but hey ho.

Very pleased that we have a proven manager at this level, and that we are prepared to back him by giving him time and hopefully financial support to get us into the Prem. Big change from the previous regime, and hopefully sends the message to all at the club that the manger is the next most important person at the club after the owners and their chosen representative on the Board.

On 11th October 2007, Warnock was appointed Palace boss and took them from 23rd to finishing 5th that season without Billionnaire backers. At the same time we went from 24th to 14th. He isn't the messiah but he will sort out the mess that is QPR.
