Can't believe that we be talking to Palace without Warnock already agreeing personal terms. If we have it could end up looking like bunch of clowns

Am I looking at this on postive note that Warnock done deal but we talking to Palace regarding some of there players and well do the whole deal as one deal and we still talking regarding compensation for them

The way I look at it... I only want Warnock to come if HE wants to come.

Bottom Line: If NW decides that he'd really rather stay at Palace, then I don't want him.
IMO that quote is a good thing really, because do we really want a manager who is basically told that he has to go to QPR by an admin/suit?

If the final decision is his, and he chooses to come to QPR - great.

I don't want anyone who is forced to take the job, because that is not a solid foundation for the stability and commitment we need.

He's not the kind of man to take a job that he doesn't want to do. he'd rather retire.
So no problem with his quote in that article.

agree completely goddard if he dont want to come then look elsewhere.
only thing i will say is that we have been led to believe on here that he had already agreed to come and it was only the compensation that was holding it up?

Pete was egham wrong regarding Warnock being down LR?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Warnock is his own man. He won't just up sticks just because an Administrator says a compensation package is favourable to the club. It has to a deal favourable to him too. It could be his last position so it has to be right. He's no mug (open to debate).

I think when he meets with Paladini/Briatore/Mittal whoever, he's first statement will be: "I've heard a lot about the goings on here. Some good managers have come and gone. There's been rumours of boardroom interference, players being bought and sold without the manager's involvement. Is this still going on? I want 100% assurances that I am in charge of team affairs and selections, player purchases etc. If not, I'm not coming here." And rightly so.

Think some of our other managers were either hoodwinked, (Dowie) or happy to go along with the DOF role in place. (Gigi, Sousa, Mags). Think Warnock will play hard-ball with them. If he is appointed than at least we know it's under his terms which must be a good thing.

Might be wishful thinking but if it is as far advanced as the ITK crowd suggest there clearly have been unofficial talks - probably all parties just have to steer carefully because that might constitute an illegal approach?
