500,000 when how much did walcot go for ! yes he played in the 1st team but Sterling wasnt that far behind.

Makes a joke of youth investment, same old thing big clubs get players lon the cheap as they sign them before we can even put hm on a full contract.

            RIPE OFF
One for all.... and all for one

Bang on.......I hope the News of the World have got this wrong as 500k is simply not enough for a prospect as good as Sterling!

How many of these guys get anywhere ? Most of them you never hear of again - Take the dough, if he wanted to stay he could have.

Take the dough?......500k is what's being suggested we have taken.

This kid is being touted as the best English prospect since Wayne Rooney and you are happy to settle for a measly 500k? To put this into perspective we probably blew more than that on fees to bring Danny Parejo here for 6 months!

As I said earlier I seriously hope the News of the World have been misinformed here because if it is just 500k we have been done.

Figure to rise to 2 mill based on appearances etc look he may well break his leg or come off the rails, if a player wants to go you cant keep them long term. With all the crap going on at the club i would not want to stay hopefully if we get our act together now as a club and are becoming stable and successful with a good manager then in the future players will want to stay, now forget it

He's made the wrong choice in going to Liverpool. Their Academy isn't worth it's salt and has fallen away alarmingly since Benitez forced out Heighway.

Would have been far better served at Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea for his future development.

Why are fans upset about a player they have never watched before? I'm not fussed.
