Thanks crowleyhoops and quaz - but for the record please be aware this is just my opinion which I'm glas some agree with. I won't however laugh at anyone who disagrees, or call them stupid or a mug. Nor indeed will I be offended if anyone truly believes the Board should go and splash millions on players because we all want the same thing, only there is more than one way to crack a nut :scorn:

Whos' money should he spend then. ? Whos money are the Arabs at Man.City going to spend. ? If owners want success they will have to invest in good quality players.

i had predicted they would only spend the bare minimum again this summer, and in doing so prove that they have learned nothing(ie,you wont get promoted by spending pitens),very depressing if true,i hope not

On Fifa 09 you get over 11mill as QPR to play with,if only it was mirrored in the real world.

The penny might drop when they see 8,000 - 9,000 watching games at W12.

but which way will the penny drop - low attendences are just as likely to make them think the club is not worth investing in. they are not going to chuck money at this like a charity - they are only going to spend what they think they can recoup.

Totally agree. They believe the club should be self sufficient and if we can pay for the salaries and costs of running the club then they are more likely to dip into their pockets but if they are having to spend millions on overheads then the budget for the players decreases.

I think it is too early to tell, it depends who leaves in the summer, leighwood, buzsaky, routledge have been linked with moves away, so to come up with Adebola, Cox, Tabor, Pratley are not exactly inspiring! Why don't they just go for it this time round and bring in some good players (like vine & buzsaky).

I would rather we just added 2 quality players instead of signing 5 mediocure players again.

The problem with QPR (which everybody saw at the start of the season) was that we had no one up front... Adebola will not score more than 8 goals, so you may as well stick with Agymang.

I don't think we can defend the board. Although I am very grateful that they took over the club, when we was up sh*t street, you just can't defend that they are trying to do it on the cheap...which is fine may I add, BUT... don't come to me charging over £650 for a season ticket for poor quality football. I spend allot of money on a mercedes because of the luxury it comes with and the smooth ride but with QPR its like paying Mercedes prices for a 1 litre ford fiesta. No offence to whoever owns one, but although Bluehoop you do make some valid points, I think if you was to look at it in that way, then you would understand Paulmason and many other R's fans frustration. If you promise big, then unfortunately this won't happen if you don't back it up on the 'transfer kitty front'. When you start hearing names like Adebola and Pratley, hardly exciting names to get online and order my season ticket. This is an entertainment business and normally if you entertain, results follow up with that.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

All this talk of being self-sufficient in the Championship just wont happen. We are not a big club with a huge fan base to tap in to. Get us into the Premiership, then the fanbase will increase, along with bigger sponsorship deals, Sky money and Prem money. Then we may be self-sufficient. In the meantime the club need to spend money on decent players, get us promoted, and then their reward will come.
