  • I dont buy into the Warnock dream

Ifeel he is too old and looking for a last pay day . A track record that is OK at best , old school management [which i admire] but wont work in this day and age , Would prefer a recentley retired player , hungry and ambitous
Football played the Charlie Ferris way

agreed, cant be dealing with the ref getting blamed for every loss etc etc. If he does take us up I hope he wont be the gaffer for the prem league season.

alex ferguson is 67 so has years and great experience so lets not all be ageist
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

At the moment the players need a manager who can motivate the team, organise the defence, and get them working for eachother. Warnock fits that bill perfectly. He may not be the future, but we need to deal with the here and now, and right now we need the stay in this division.

Won't work in this day and age?

Unlucky last season, and would be in with the playoffs if not for the 10 point deduction this season.

He sticks up for what he believes and he's had fair grounds for all his outbursts this season. If it was for us, you'd be agreeing with him if he was right and that's a fact mate. As for hoping he's not in charge if we get there...that's utter BS. If a manager takes you to the Prem, he deserves to manage you there. Every manager is expected to fail when they take a team up, but that's what makes him want to succeed more. Granted, you can say he threw it away with Sheff Utd as they were looking good with 3-4 games to go, but he was also shafted by the fact the Hammers had players they shouldn't have had. One of them who's goals kepf West Ham up and in the process killed off Warnocks chance.

FFS, give the bloke a chance lads. Of course there better calibre of manager out there, but not neccesarily for the position we're in and not who will want to manage in the CCC. Some say Curbs, but he's been out of the game for some time and hardly finished on a high. Coppell...the same.

These are just my opinions, but I feel you're way to harsh on Colin.

Not being harsh an ok manager, but is it a lazy option can we not look , scout, or headhunt ,someone for the future and not someone that likes the sound of his own voice to cover up his "bad luck"

I think if Rangers wont agree compo with palace , we will all move on to talking about another manager coming in , its like they say no manager is as big as the club and its becomin that way

Again, we're a CCC side and not a very good one. Lot's of bad press surrounding us and even with Flav gone, it will take time to repair the damage. Most won't consider us as the moral amongst the fans and the team is low.

Coppell for me isn't they type of charater to sort this mess out. Good manager indeed, but not a strong enough charater. I feel the same about Curbs. Another tallented manager but for me he's too nicey, nicey. We need a tough person. Madge was too much like a bull in a china shop whereas I firmly believe Warnock, love or hate him is a man who (most) players want to play for.

Silly post. Look at what he done at Sheff Utd and Palace. A team similar size to us, less money to spend (not even on loans) and got them to get so many points more than us (not including the deduction).

He will get us up the table, playing decent football and give us a team to be proud of again.

Yes, there are better managers - for the prem. Great signing for any club in this league.

Cant please all the people all the time some fans wont be happy no matter what:

new young manager - "He has no track record"
Older manager - "He is too old"

Steve Coppell - "He quits when the going gets tough"
                          Curbishley - "No personality"
                          Dowie - "been there before"

and to push the envelope some would probably moan about these:

Jose - "He used to manage the ****!"
Ferguson - "yeah but what does he know about the Championship"

Im being a bit facetious but for gawds sake please lets give WHOEVER gets the job our backing from the off.
“You can keep that silly fat w@nker. The lads can't lift him”

Quite a few teams have got more points than us , inc 2 ex managers , and Warnock teams play decent football . Imust have blinked when that was happening
