if they win..well..he wont walk will he!?

  • #2
He has no reason to walk if they do win.

TV money, FA money, gate receipts from the extra game - all enough to secure their immediate future and therefore giving him no reason to leave.

EDIT: No reason to leave this season. If they are relegated then circumstances change and he may come back on the radar in the summer.

Why won't he have a reason?

Palaces future is still in the balance and 'if' they win, he can bow out on a high.

I would take a guess that his mind is already made up. Win or lose, he knows what he will be doing from tomorrow morning.

I agree with you but as I said tonight's victory could secure Palace's short term future and therefore there is no immediate reason to leave. He could stay and keep them up and if/when they do get takenover he would be in similar situation to we are now.

Lots of ifs buts and maybes but with QPR having been so trigger happy when it comes to managers he may want assurances that the new owners (who aren't exactly new and could have if they wanted to controlled Flavio) won't sack him 3 months later.

I see what you're saying, but I also feel that's irrelevant at this stage because they will be taken over in the near future. The likely buyer is Ron Noades who has made no secret he wants Coppell. Even Southgate has been mentioned, so this will be on Warnocks mind. If Noades comes in and decides to bring his own man in, that leaves Colin without a job.

I'd prefer Paulo Sousa to Warnock.

but if he wants to come, he'd come regardless....

                        worst post of the day!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Just a minor thought. With one eye on Sunday's carling Cup final, i wonder whether or not Martin O'niel will rest a couple of players...assuming that it could be a dead cert tonight.??
