Pete loans do cost money too. Clubs don't give you players for nothing e.g blackstock to forest loan last season for 400k.

Suspect we've paid a fair whack for Simpson and taarabt even before we contribute to or pay all the players wages.

And they're just two of the many loanees this term.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread.

At least two of our loans cost us six figures in "transfer" fees in addition to wages and bonuses.

The thread only degenerated due to the fact that QBP would not give straight forward answers to straight forward questions and kept on trying to either deflect the questions to another subject or ignore questions or facts posted. He totally ignored the more controversial points of my post as usual because the bloke knows that he was digging a sizeable hole for himself. This is his usual behaviour. The original post wasn't about how tight Briatore was with the cash, because frankly he spent a ****load on players, and alot more on transfer fees, signing on fees, wages, agent fees etc, than Pete reckons. No this thread was originally started to up to discredit Briatore now that he had gone, with the full backing of GP. Dare I say it, but behaviour reflecting those of many millions of Italians during the second world war once Mussolini was hanged. GP is the QPR equivalent of a war criminal, (yeah I know the comparison is a bit extreme), but one of those war criminals who start bleating after he was found out, who would say, "I was doing what I was ordered to do, otherwise my commander would have shot me!" And then spill the beans on as much as he could, continually putting himself in the light of being the reluctant accomplice whilst putting the knife in as deep as he can on the 'bigger villian'.

Pete is now Paladini's voice on the outside of the 'condemned prison' and trying to show the world that QPR still needs the valuable imput of Paladini. Equally it seems that Pete very much has a vested interest in the survival of Paladini. There is too much mis-trust with the supporters for Paladini to remain at QPR. There are many, many supporters who will not return to QPR until Paladini goes. Paladini's presence at the club will continue to darken the future of QPR.

I don't know if its me, but I get the impression that Flavio is exempt from any blame and Gianni held back millions and brought in loans instead.

I would imagine at that point Briatore began to lose interest or was flabbagasted at the financial waste created by our glorious, then Director of Football. someone was choosing the loan players that were brought in...couldnt have been Briatore so who was it then? who made our squad unbalanced and missing players from key positions? out of the 47 players brought in only about 10 of them are any good so someone either messed up or was getting certain players in for their own benefit and not the clubs...either way whoever it is must answer for it.

One thing that puzzles me is that if we did not have much money to spend bringing players in, why have over 40 players been signed in some capacity over the last two years.

Was it Flavio's decision to bring this amount of players to the club?

Call me a cynic but when a Football Agent is Sporting Director then we should not be surprised when lots if deals are done
