    Hopefully thinks will now change
Plenty of money has been spent - but most of it wasted on substandard players in terms of wages, transfer fees etc. on players other Clubs were only too glad to get shot of. That's why they were cheap. And the person culpable for signing them was Paladini. He should be sacked now, a proper manager brought in and given some realistic funds to sign a few quality
players to give us a realistic chance of promotion next season. But that won't work on it's own, without the rest of the Club's infrastructure being sorted out, scouting, coaching, fitness, youth setup etc. Paladini knows nothing about any of that, and has no idea of how a successful Club should be run. We need to bring in some proper football people to sort the Club out and get rid of parasites like GP and AR.

WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't you see what this original post is all about? It is about the discrediting of Flavio Briatore from within the club by a certain individual who now wants to be seen by all and sundry as the good guy who has been doing his very best over the last two years to stop Briatore in his tracks after initially introducing him to the club, and using his pet poodle to publish this drivel. All the questioning of transfer fees is based on players that we have signed and most of these fees have been understated compared massively compared to what was quoted at the time, for instance:

      Faurlin £3.5million total deal.
Connolly £1million as many have said on this thread
Mahon was £200,000 at the time
Agyemang £350,000 reported at the time
Ephraim £800,000 reported at the time
      Leigertwood £900,000 at the time.

Yet apart from somebody questioning the price received for Walton (it was reported on the PAFC website that it was a club record signing of £700K, I know this as a colleague of mine is a PAFC supporter), nobody has questioned the transfer values of the other players and in some cases they seem inflated, (Blackstock).

The trend of this original post is of low transfer fees quoted on players coming in and high transfer fees on players going out, designed to effectively say, that Briatore is a tight ******* look he signed players on the cheap and sold our best players at huge values and never reinvested the funds. Total ******, and I think that the next set of accounts due soon would confirm that this original post is crap. Since last Friday, with the departure of Briatore Paladini has been on a one man campaign to clear his name and discredit Briatore as much as he can, I even suspect that he had a hand in the so-called quotes today attributed to Calliendo, and he is obviously using his resources (QBP) to the maximum effect. And bless him the lovely little Pete is obliging so that he can continue to receive his freebies from Paladini and even make a profit on them.

spot on post as normal. Done similar thing to Sousa when Paladini wanted to discredit him.

Okay Hall at £800.000 is way over the odds, but he is now at newcastle United.

Over the 2 and half year reign, we have sold Blackstock and Routledge for big fees on transfer fees, we did not get the promised money spent on the club!!

Seems strange that you won't dipsute the figures on Hall, but are willing to dispute the ones on Hogan and Connolly.

Many of them are undisclosed fees and I'm giving you how much they were, you can take them with a pinch of salt if you want.

Next you'll be telling me Faurlin was 3.5 million because it was reported in the papers..make your mind up

w12ranger, Nobby or anyone else doubting whats written

Did we spend 3.5 million on Faurlin YES OR NO?

Because you are using the same kind of souces that confirm Connolly was 1 million

I believe everyone has made it clear they understood this to be a deal

Furthermore Pete you have continued not to back anything up.

Now can you tell me how I can aquire this information from the football league?

                        • So bearing in mind its your belief we spent 1 million on Connolly:laughter:
                          £800,000 on Hogan:laughter:

You are willing to accept we spent 3.5 million on Faurlin because thats what was reported in newspapers, which is bascially what you are doing for the above two?

                          • w12ranger, I'm not really not here to prove anything.

You believe what you want to believe.

You can see that we've spent hardly anything and sold two of our best players for good fees, all in all I am agreeing with you. Its not a defence of anyone.

Also, totally agree about loans. A club with ambition should not be bringing in loans this January, would you not agree?

                            • The Faurlin deal was reported on the QPR website and that figure was quoted and it was worded as such so that anyone reading it clearly could tell it was £3.5m in transfer, add ons, wages, agents, sundries etc.

The deals for players such as Connelly are in the accounts I believe.

This thread is clearly yet another propeganda rewrite of history to the benefit of one individual

the 3.5 million faurlin deal was on the official.

Connolly and Hogan was undisclosed, so how do you know how much they cost?
