Seems like a simple case of the board needs to decide to either back the Manager or the CEO. It seems to me CN is the type who will pretty much be in conflict with whoever is manager so I'd be backing MC

Looking at the report again, I think the bit about MC threatening to quit was made up by the newspaper. He said that he wants to take the club further and not just avoiding relegation. He also expressed his disappointmemt about the amount of injuries we had to live up with and the reasons for it. He never mention quitting. I have full believe in Marti and hope he continues to be the Manager with more support from the powers of the club.

It will be interesting to see if Marti does the press conference today/tomorrow and what he says/how he comes across

this is everything i hate about modern football - a lazy journo makes a story up after a press conference by the manager -who was basically saying what every other manager does - i want to take the club forward - blah - i will talk to the board to see what direction we are going etc etc and now the message boards ITKs and click bait sites are offering up replacements.

way to shoot yourself in the foot and create instability.

Marti is doing a good job and we are progressing - it has to be acknowledged that it has been an extraordinary season for injuries and that has had a massive impact on our ability to compete at the upper end of the tabl.

This topic is going to get out of hand through a sun paper report, we will soon find out if he’s happy or not with way the club is run, let’s hope it’s sorted soon & see what his pre post says & if he mentions anything

WTF the fitness geezer working from another country.
No wonder our players are dropping like flies.

I don't care if MC stays or goes.
I've seen him not go all out this season when we've been in winnable games.
Negative , slow football , bizarre substitutions .

I'm sure he's the "Head of" and has all the data he needs to direct the "hands on" team.

But something certainly needs to change to stop these guys getting injured all the time. That might involve buying players who are younger without a long legacy injury lists. But, perhaps we can only afford damaged goods? Are the guys training on artifical pitches? Is MC motivating them enough to ignore minor tweaks? Is the end of contract thing pushing guys into the treatment room?

As supporters we'll never know the full picture, but those inside the club need to get this sorted because the owners are putting in £250k a week for this garbage!!

If he goes we might very well end up with a coach with zero personality. Critchley springs to mind. Just saying.

Think Marti has done well for us overall so personally would prefer him to stay.

Am frustrated we commonly take so long to get going in games, particularly at home, and end up either chasing games or leaving it too late altogether. Seems unnecessary and we do have some pace in the side if only we would use it more.

However we have been decimated to an unusual degree by injuries which has not helped and still have one of the smallest budgets in the league so hardly underperforming.

If Marti had everything in his managerial locker he would not be with us and that be the case with anyone we get.

Not convinced there is much to this story and agree with another post in thread that nothing in what Marti has said in the public domain would amount to a threat to leave.

I think it started from The Sun so it's very unreliable at best I would say.

Bristol City's manager said our pitch was dangerous after one of their players got injured in the warm up. Something to do with angled bits on edge of pitch so wouldn't explain the volume but may be relevant?

I think Marti has done a pretty decent job in his time with us. We are safe again this season, the players have on the whole appeared motivated and team spirit looks good, despite many of them being loan signings or at the end of their contract. It truly could be an awful lot worse than it has been over the last 18 months.

There have of course been some poor moments and odd decisions, but on the whole we look like a squad that has a first team with proper viable options for substitutions during games who we can bring on to change the game - we haven't always had that. I hope he stays with some backing for next season.

MC has to accept some responsibility.

Not good enough from the club as a whole and I hope there are constructive summer discussions and MC gets it right next season.
Well he pretty much said celar was bought by belk and nourry who then told MC this is your new striker. Off you go. Not a chance Celar fits the bill of a lone front man in a MC type formation. So can't see MC giving the green light on that one.

I think he def wanted Varane though.
