He will not play again this season. He's been suspended for three games after being caught on camera doing something against the rules that the referee missed. Pity. I like him as always gives 100%.

Did ant of the PNE players/staff make an issue out of it at the time? Strange that nothing was mentioned in commentary or in the match report.

Is he out of contract at the end of season ?

always like his effort but his ability to cross is poor imo

I didn't know that. Good news I think - I'd happily keep both of them. I'd even be tempted to offer Frey a couple of years too. I like Jack too, is only his age that would stop me offering more than a year.

Definitely keep Frey. I'd let colback go. Misses a lot of games through injury and suspension. Our squad is too thin to carry players who aren't available for majority of the time. Their must a lad in league 1 who can do what colback does and not cost that much.

Same way as we got varane to replace Hayden. At the time I wasn't sure. Now I'm happy to be wrong. Varane looks a different player to the one who joined us last summer. Sometimes you have to gamble on a young one to make the step up.

Yep, the Sky commentators picked up on the Smyth punch at the time. They speculated that a retrospective punishment could happen as the incident had not seen by the ref. The Preston player was down for a while complaining.

A shame, as he's had a decent season, he has been a problem for opposition defenders, and that goal at Bristol City was a bit special, and felt really important for momentum at the time.

As Qpstranger says above, it was mentioned and replayed during Sky's live commentary. He did seem to punch their player in the stomach. It was on the edge of the box whilst we were attacking if I remember correctly.

Fair enough. Shame nelson who plays for luton who and took smyth out with an elbow didn't receive any punishment. Absolutely filthy challenge and smyth went off needing stitches.
