I don't particularly rate Nardi either , not a bad shot stopper but poor with commanding box and coming for crosses. Also i would'nt be bothered if Cifuentes went as well , i don't rate him , he's only won 30 percent of games in a #### poor league and been crap in the cups , also playing boring , slow football.

In my opinion we need to sign a load more players this summer but please sign some pacy hard working players that are'nt injury prone and are used to English football. We can't sign any more Celar, Varane, Madsen ,Frey , Anderson , Santos and Ashby types.

You mean expensive ones in fees and/or wages at their peak with little or no sell on value at the end of it? I agree with you, but these players tend to go to clubs with deeper pockets.

Just heard MC interview. Is he taking the ####? Quite a close game?! Did their keeper have to make a save?
He makes out like we were unlucky. He looks out of ideas and I wouldn't be suprised if he walks during the summer. He doesn't last long at clubs.

Celar would come good but I think he will leave. Frey is solid and does a good job. Varane looks quality but yes is injured but most of our squad has been at one point or another this season. Have we even seen enough of Santos to judge? What's going on with him, did we loan him out? Yes we need more pace but most of all we need an out and out goalscorer. We create so much but it all meanders out to zilch.

You can get players from league 1 or 2 that would be better than some of our signings. Also our loans from Premier league clubs needs to be better , Edwards is ok but Yang for half a season when he is unproven at this level and we already had players in that position . As for Ashby , he was'nt that good at Swansea on loan last season , he was'nt starting in front of Dunne , so what is the point of wasting a loan.

Nardi is a great keeper at this level. As for not rating Marti, cast your mind back to where we were when he arrived. Lets not forget we were doomed to League 1 at that time, now we have been talked about (not quite got there) as play off contenders to the Prem only 12 months later.

Hard to keep a level head after another such performance. I begin to fear that we are right amongst the worst teams in this league. Heaven knows how we went on that run, but thank God we did. I am beginning to feel that Marti may have had little to do with it. Why don't you ever see him angry? He has every right to be. His persistence in choosing Paal for any/every match, must go down as a real black mark against Marti.
Watching us is pretty regularly a horrible way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Sad about Ilias being injured again. On his day he is a fine player and has been a great club servant. However as has been mentioned before, the way he plays, does tend to pull the forward line out of shape. I get a feeling that Chair and Frey together is not a good plan..
His absence will prove interesting. Now for Leeds!!! What's the plan Marti??

I've certainly seen worse performances this season, it was just devoid of ideas and threat. we were not as terrible as we were in the first third of the season, where that would have counted as a good performance.

I would like to see the heat map of our posession, i don't think i saw a single passage of play from us in the centre of Boro's half all game, EVERYTHING of what little we did do in attack was on the flanks, and then only one one flank with any intent.

Boro did a great job of closing down room for Saito, they clearly saw hil as a threat, and instead of changing our pattern of play Chair just went out there to help. We did not use Ilias in the centre or Yang on the right enough, Yang had tons of space in the first half.

Frey was never in any attacking forward positions when we were in posession. The fact our best 2 chances came from our left back and goal keeper says alot doesn't it.

That all being said, could easily have been 2-2, and we be thankful. Boro however did come close more often than we did, Jimmy and Paal both had poor games and let them cut in far too often, they nearly scored the same goal 4 times i counted!

Smithie added drive forward. Deserves his place back. Fox added balance. Dembele added more than Ilias. First half we were playing with no urgency. End of day Paal very bad miss and Nardi fluffed header . Have to score these type of chances.

I don't think we can be too harsh on nardi for fluffing a header.

Agree on smyth, work rate alone for Championship level he does deserve his spot. Given we're now afew points from mathematical safety we need to get some on the board asap, then focus on next year. Does that mean Smyth or Yang start?

The pleasure of watching this side has disappeared yet again. What happened to the enthusiasm and fight we had in our little run. Players-tactics-manager all useless without some fighting spirit. They look like a side who will be dreading Saturday instead of relishing the challenge
