The club is fundamentally broken to the core. Sad to say it but the owners are still dealing with the legacies of the past, the seasons when we thought buying old crocks would keep us in Prem. Biggest gamble didn’t pay off, big wage bill, FFP strife, owners now keeping us afloat by tipping money in every month - not exactly the best way to attract leaders and managers in is it.

Bringing in a 26 year old with a laptop was always going to be questionable. Poor Marti can only play the deck of cards in front of him and on his day gets the tactics spot on. Sadly often it’s off the mark and he doesn’t react quickly enough - why doesn’t he never change things up when the oppo are down to 10 men for example.

All a big grumble I know but I’ve no idea how to fix it - a new owner with deep pockets won’t help unless FFP changes. Gotta hope for a bit of luck I guess and be grateful we’re safe this season.

Dude i think that's a huge over action given where we are right now. We have been broken, but we are most certainly on the mend. How to fix it is certainly a matter of trusting the process. Marti has made some questionable decisions tactically but by and large he's being doing well with an injury struck squad in need of a rebuild without any cash.

Financially we are going to struggle for some time, we just don't create enough revenue. Eze money would be a very welcome band aid / boost, as would the sale of any player.

The owners thought they were doing the right thing with Hoos and Ferdinand, and it didn't work overall, Warbs and The Snake gave us some promising runs but ran out of steam for whatever reasons. Now they think they're doing the right thing here, and honestly it's too early to tell if that's the case, we've has a roller coaster on the pitch yet again, keep on keeping on.

One of the owners has to buy the stadium naming rights for £20m to give us a cash boost. That would meet P&S.

But I think they know now that throwing money at signings is just a waste of time. We've never been great at it and Madsen (€4m) and Celar (€2m) prove the point.

Let's just try and get some free transfers in and pick of young lads being released by premiership clubs and grow organically. If that can stabilise losses to a hobby investment for the owners and gets us mid table in the championship then I'll be happy.

But this boom and bust in results is very frustrating. We're either on a huge high when points seem guaranteed, to not knowing where the next point is coming from. A more stable results pattern would be nice for my blood pressure.

We lack a focal point and very few goals in the side. Makes us too easy to defend against. No end product and no threat in the main.

As said elsewhere need to either get some better goal scoring midfielders or switch to two strikers and get in strikers who can score reasonably frequently at this level. Can't see us progressing unless we can solve this problem.

Just a thought; we seem to lack players who really enjoy playing together. Illy and Willy clicked, but Illy and Saito/ Frey doesn't really gel the same way. We have the same problem in midfield. Not a set established relationship between the midfielders. It`s all a bit strange because they do actually train together all season...
