The club is fundamentally broken to the core. Sad to say it but the owners are still dealing with the legacies of the past, the seasons when we thought buying old crocks would keep us in Prem. Biggest gamble didn’t pay off, big wage bill, FFP strife, owners now keeping us afloat by tipping money in every month - not exactly the best way to attract leaders and managers in is it.
Bringing in a 26 year old with a laptop was always going to be questionable. Poor Marti can only play the deck of cards in front of him and on his day gets the tactics spot on. Sadly often it’s off the mark and he doesn’t react quickly enough - why doesn’t he never change things up when the oppo are down to 10 men for example.
All a big grumble I know but I’ve no idea how to fix it - a new owner with deep pockets won’t help unless FFP changes. Gotta hope for a bit of luck I guess and be grateful we’re safe this season.
