I just think it's good to back a manager that clearly is talented and not want him sacked. Tops and abs were all for us sacking Marti which would have been a disasterous move. Just seeing the derby fans walking out when Millwall got given a penalty and then walking back in the ground when they missed. Muggy fans and attitude similar to how Topps and abs present themselves.

Bladdy hell- that was shocking. It's that perennial problem we have of coming down to the level of our opponents it seems...
Portsmouth are clearly an awful team but we have allowed them to "set the tone" instead of taking the iniative ourselves.
Varane's got to come off, he can't cope with these bitty low-quality games and keeps giving the ball away and making dumb fouls in stupid unnecessary areas. Frey on a booking and wandering offside too much probably needs hooking sooner rather than later.
Only positive is I reckon thats as good as Pompey get so if we pull our finger out in 2nd half we should be able to score a couple... I wonder if Marti can do a frothing at the mouth pep talk, it feels like we need it....

Portsmouth just tough and workmanlike. We have made them look more than that. Not out if this yet but we should be. Something lacking in the way we approach games, particularly the early part. I feel we have much better players than Portsmouth so I am confused we often don't make that count

Nah, didn't deserve to really. Sometimes we look so dumb. We don't seem to be able to solve the riddle of playing teams like Portsmouth. Seemed like the Millwall, Plymouth games today all over again and probably many others. Of course, Marti has worked wonders but he has not solved 3 things for me...
1) How to start games fast and well,
2) A clear and definite plan B and
3) How to play tough, talentless teams.
I rest my case. Onwards......
