  • What does Gianni have on these people?

First of all I want to say that I am over the moon with the news that Mittals have increased stake and the owning company have a new chairman. It can only be good for the club to have less board interference.

One concern I do have is the promotion of Paladini to football club chairman. Now what exactly has Gianni done to deserve a promotion? We all know in his Sporting Director role he has overseen the majority of calamitous decisions that have turned the club into a laughing stock yet he now has an even bigger responsibility.

Gianni must have some serious leverage on those that are around him for him to remain at the club, let alone a promotion.

Don't believe all those that say the new chairman will run the show and Gianni will have little input, the new chairman is the chairman of the parent company and will be responsible for player funding etc But Gianni will be responsible for how this money is spent.

The football club chairman will be responsible for all football related matters, manager and player acquisitions, strategic long term planning, youth set up and season ticket prices. Whilst he is still here it can only be a bad thing based on his previous record.

The new chairman will decide which manager is appointed NOT Paladini.

The new manager (as has already been suggested) will identify the players he wants NOT Paladini.

I would imagine Paladini will do the negotiating for the players the MANAGER wants not the players He has been forcing onto whoever has been running the team at the time! Only when the negotiations been concluded will the REAL charman give him the ok to conclude a deal.

In short Paladini is not really in the position nor will he be given the free reign to do the damage he has done.

To get one businessman like Flabio would be considered unlucky, to get two or three, all with the business sense of Flabio, would be fookin' unbelievable, even for us.

And, the sponsors can't have been impressed with the way Flavio did things, and no doubt, made their feelings more than plain.

The club needed an overhaul, it needed new direction, and I hope that the Mittals, Amit, and Ishan Saksena, will do just that.

Meanwhile, all any of us can do, is just sit tight, and wait and see.

Well harford said as much in his post match interview. And do you REALLY think someone like Warnock would let GP pick and chose his players???

He is a football agent .I believe he will NEGOTIATE transfers, contracts , deals etc however I would think he will have to get final agreement from THE chairman and the mittals .

Yes he is called the chairman of the football club BUT titles mean jack sh#t if you don;t have the shareholding or the ownership of the club
