Granted, some have been woeful, and some of those have actually come out with a positive result.

Is Marti the messiah? Doubt it but i really think he's shown enough to answer most doubters, he's setting up to what he has available, what's possible and while there are some things we as fans disagree with, there can be no doubt we are improving.

Proof will be at the end of this season and where we finish up. Playoffs are a very long shot but we are 100% on playoff place form at the moment. If we keep anything like this momentum then hey, anyone still broadly criticising 'the process' needs to have a think. Doesn't mean we can ever criticise of course.

You win leagues on your bad days aswell as your good, and we're doing ok on our bad days, sign of a good team.

That the majority of this match day squad is young really does bode well for next year, which is where I'm hoping for a genuine play off push.
We have had some good performances lately but we have also had some woeful ones as well . Our results have been good even though the performances haven't , it is just my opinion that i believe we are'nt good enough to make the play offs , especially away from home. Hope i am wrong obviously.
All this Marti is a great manager etc , is at the moment a load of rubbish , he was manager when we were rock bottom earlier in the season , so he got us into this mess . Yes fair play for turning it around but there is a lot to do before we can call him a great manager , maybe a couple more transfer windows and get some decent players and he can prove me wrong.

He kept us up against the odds last season. This season's bad start was a combo of massive injury list and new players to this division finding their feet. He is a great manager.

He was manager when rock bottom, however we can point to reasons we were struggling, new signings not working out (how much he had to do with them we don't know), in an injury plagued squad. Yes, it took him time to figure out, and we rode our luck in several games, but we have pulled out of that, taht's very very tough to do, to keep morale and faith amongst the squad and coaching staff.

Again, is he great? Lets see, he's certainly better than average and he's certainly doing enough to make any doubters consider that he knows what he's doing at the very least.

              Let's look at our previous managers in recent times;
Warbs - Cut off his nose to spite his face, was a decent coach but let himself down.
Beale - Less said the better, but showed so much promise, who knows how long our downfall would have gone on for if he's stayed?
Critchley - Way out of his depth
Ainsworth - Love him, but wow that was poor football
Marti - Compared to the above? He's well on the way to catching Warbs win %

By the numbers Beale has the best %

Marti is low, but should this form continue he'll be right up there by the end of the season.

You make some good points and i'm not saying Marti is a poor manager , just that i don't particularly like our defensive style that he plays , maybe he will change if he gets some different players in , i don't know. I can't knock our recent results , just this when we score we sit back , lets start dominating games then i will believe we can make the play offs.
The worry about new players is , if they are of the same quality that we signed last summer we will be in trouble.
Agree with your points on previous managers though.

Yeah we are gonna lose games, we can't keep on like this forever, but i now fully believe we can beat anyone in this league.

It's always the case in the championship but difference is we can give any team a football match.

Some say the first half was dull yesterday, and it was, but we by and large controlled the game, the tempo was down to us, they were pressing us, we were probing them, we moved the ball well.

From the moment the first set of subs came on we had them by the balls, yeah we let go of it with the second set, but the team had enough about them to keep it together. Varane, Field, Dunne and Lloyd really carried the gale home in the last 15.

Very happy with the way things are going.

We have a nice run of fixtures coming up followed by four tough games on the spin. Historically we have struggled in games against poorer side but not in our recent run.

To go from worst team in division in first 15 games to best in the following 13 is astounding and credit to everyone involved. An upturn for me would have been mid table form to try and slowly drag us out of the bottom 3, not automatic promotion form!

We have some ability on the bench too which means we can change games rather than mainly having players sitting there who offer fresh legs and nothing much else.

Personally think if we finish top half following that awful start will be a great achievement and something to build on next season but this run has given us a little sniff of the top six so nothing impossible.

Other results have massively gone our way in recent weeks. We've had our bad run and it's time for the other teams to have their. That's why it's a 46 game competition so everything evens out.

We deserve to ve where we are and can go higher. Are the likes of Blackburn, West Brom, Watford, Bristol City & Sheff Wed any better than us? No!

The stats show we are a mid table team where recent fixtures have been kind to us
Against (currently) Top 6 sides we average 0.5 pts per game
mid table (7th-15th) we average 1.4 pts
lower table (16th-24th) we average 1.75 pts
our recent good run, the average league position of opponents is 17th-18th
so we are generally beating the weaker teams, and that’s who we’ve played recently

Great first post Andy and hope to hear more from you.

Our play off hopes will hinge mainly on these six pointer games:

                              - Sheff Wed (H) 25 Jan
                              - Blackburn (H) 4 Feb
                              - West Brom (A) 8 Mar
                              - Boro (A) 11 Mar
                              - Bristol City (H) 12 Apr

If we can win the first two it should put us in the top 6.

I'll go out on a limb and suggest this statement possibly doesn't stand up to close scrutiny Sheep.... will deffo require more than 42pts on Feb 4th to be 6th I reckon.

10 more wins keeps us in the mix... keep it simple, plod along chalking them off and forget speculating about next week, next month and certainly don't get bogged down fretting about other teams' results either. One game, one win at a time and as Marti says... stay humble.
