Once we have slain the spectre of relegation I don't care if people want to dream about finishing 6th. We need about 20 more points to stay up and about 40 more points to finish 6th-ish. Why don't we make it a priority to get the 20pts as quick as we can...... sort of killing 2 birds with one stone.

Dunno what's going on with the effing fixture computer but 2 stinky long away trips up next at an unsociable KO time. These are stiff tests - the championship meat-grinder rolls on.....

Mathematically we're not safe from relegation, but surely our performances of late have "Slaine the spectre of relegation"..?

We are solid at the back, the midfield is now settled and we're scoring goals. More importantly there seems a real togetherness on the pitch.

If there are concerns it maybe that we wont finish in the top half. In the same way that it might be too much for us to gain the eight point gap to sixth, does the team currently in 22nd have the ability to close the nine point gap on us? I would say no.

We have to win the following six pointers to stand a chance.

          - Sheff Wed (H)
          - Blackburn (H)
          - West Brom (A)
          - Boro (A)
          - Bristol City (H)

Agree. Let's get those 50 points under our belts, then start dreaming about play offs.

I will stay grounded and say I'm just glad we ain't currently in a relegation fight, which is well above my expectations for this season

Just get to 46 points asap and then start looking at the teams above us. We are going to hit a bad patch at some point. We are flying at the minute and long may it continue. A couple of good signings this window could be the difference between ending up 16th or 6th?

Let's just keep this form up for as long as possible and see where we end up.

If we keep going like this then we'll probably make the play offs, but this is QPR, there is no way we are going to keep going like this, or, will we......?

Seriously though, we had a great run under Warbs, under the snake where we were all thinking wow we're going up! Then it all fell apart. Even Marti at the end of last season, we were very good, then it all fell apart this year, we're now back in a peak, if we come even close to maintaining this form i'm calling it a massive win.

If it doesn't 'fall apart', and we finish top 10, i'm still calling it a win. I do beleive we are safe, even if not mathmatically, we've put enough points on the board with enough games left we'll surely get enough to finish the season lower mid tabe at worst.

I think the big question is, lets say we did make play offs, are we ready to go up again?

I kinda feel like we might be? Not there yet, but end the season and a summer window and i reckon there will be a good bloody squad with good energy, a good coach and staff, yeah i think we could go up and have a crack at 17th again

After the end of last season I expected a much better start to this campaign. But there was a big turnover of players and many took a while to adjust. But that doesn't excuse the defensive style Marti adopted......I thought he and CR knew what the championship was about. You have to get into the faces of other teams. Warbs suffered from this playing out from the back and defensive (low block?????) approach too. I think Marti had finally woken up to what it takes to get out off this league (high press???????). Maybe the injuries caused the original style of play to minimise further injuries. Its all about big squads these days.

It's likely we'll finish 8-10th.....but next season we must be finalise this squad and go for it.

Please STOP all this nonsense 2 months ago we had people for Marti to be sacked, and were adrift at the bottom as good as it was is to have this good run it's just as easy to 5-10 without a win in this division which we've done before and can be back in a relegation dog fight very quickly, lets just support and get behind the team as much a possible to try and keep it going, Marti has it right one step at a time, lets not get carried away and see where it takes us, hopefully onwards and upwards

Well done to Oxford, Stoke, Portsmouth, Sheff Utd, Coventry, Hull and Cardiff today, you've done us s huge favour.

Six point gap now (excluding GD)

No other team in the league has won their last 3 games but us and only Oxford has more points than over the last 6 games.
The form team if I do say so myself, surly Marti is due a Manager of the Month at somepoint?
