I know that we have effectively lost Ben Williams, but do our players take good enough care of themselves in training and pre/post matches? I thinking of warming up properly, stretch correctly etc. etc. Just a thought!

Although, from a recruitment perspective, most of the new signings seem to be settling in. If we can keep the buggers fit.

Well, between that and our head physio working overseas, it seems a bit of a mess behind the scenes!!

Has dawned on me that I stated Celar was robust and "made of iron" at start of this thread...should've kept me trap shut, I put the bleeding mockers on him didn't I!
Still, was a sliding doors moment for Kolli who, let's face it appeared to have been frozen out and was getting no look-in whatsoever.

I've had this myself and you can have a boot that keeps the foot straight and stretches the muscle at night. He will also need new boots, or an insert, to support the foot arch. The main pain is in the heel and without physio mine cleared up in two months. Marti said no surgery is needed, so there won't be any bone spurs to worry about. Im sure he'll be back by the end of Jan and careful management from that point on.
It's definitely an age and repetitive strain injury. With the benefit of hindsight, Fox should have played at CB to give him a rest. But very hard to do that with your top performer and trying to get a run of results together.

I was reading about the NFL injuries and the cries to move away from the plastic pitches from NFL players and how that's going to happen in the NFL stadium that want to host Football.
It made me wonder, did our injury issues really only start when we moved to these new pitches? Was that this season or last season? Doesn't Man City have a ton of injury issues too and aren't we using the same grass mixture as them?
I wonder if that's the issue driving our problems tbh

I've played on the older style plastic pitches (3G?) and it played havoc with my knee without any real physical tackling. I'm not sure what is, but those rubber pellets and spongy feeling was a nightmare. I thought it was the joints it aggrevates, but guess it's all connected to muscle and those injuries. There's no substitute for proper grass (and some mud).
