  • Stoke number 9

I only got to ground at half time due to Central line issues, don’t know who the 9 was but te difference between him and Celar was massive he didn’t look really big but held the ball up well most of time. That was the main thing I noticed he was good but rest of Stoke team looked no better than us. Anyone know who the 9 is and where he came from as our. Scouting is terrible .

I think most number 9s can hold the ball up. It's kind of their "get out of jail free card" that gets them off the hook when they're not scoring. Dykes had his detractors but even they'd acknowledge his work rate and ability to hold the ball up.

It's unfortunate with Celar but simple fact is he brings literally nothing to the table. I'd hope it's a confidence thing that in time he can address, even if that requires being taken out of the firing line or even being loaned out.

We need Frey back BUT.... like Colback and JCS, he seems injury-prone. I havent studied his appearance record for us but it feels like he goes 5/6 games max before getting crocked.

A lack of striker deffo hamstrings us but there is a lack of goals throughout the team too... where are the goals from midfield??

He took the goal very well, as soon as he turned his body it was going in the top right hand corner. Every chance we had yesterday we blasted into the top of the stand!
