3 goals in 4 games for Plymouth. Free contract. Yet Mr.Belk went looking through the Swiss league and spanked 2 million on a guy who can't even score a goal.

Gray was always one of those guys who knew where the net was. In hindsight, we should definitely have kept him if that was possible. He could score all sorts of goals. If you haven't seen the 2 last night, take a look. Impressive. Rooney can't believe his luck.

QPR's structure/belief about how you approach life in The Championship and the type of player who can be effective there, has been proved to be flawed and needs addressing before it is too late.

Plymouth and Watford both played fast-paced attacking football - both looking to break forward at every opportunity. I actually found it deeply depressing when I compared it to the horrible, slow, cagey walking football our club seems to think is acceptable to serve up.

Anyway, there were several instances of poor play from Gray but, cos he's in a team that wants to attack, he gets plenty of opportunities to atone. His goal last night was uncannily similar to one he got for us at WBA... very accomplished finish. But, stick him in our team and I suspect he'd soon become a miserable moaning dejected lump of a player.
