I completely and utterly agree with David on this. Burnley and Sunderland are very much in with a great chance of promotion too. If they fail to go up what a shitty deal it would be for dunne. I don't see sheff utd as an upgrade to us and that's not me being bias I just think we could be competing with them in a playoff chase the following season. Wilder plays dire football and we have a progressive manager that allows dunne to roam forward and score goals. Personally it isn't a good enough club if we're being realistic.

If he hadn't signed with us by midday we really ought to have taken whatever money over £500K we could chisel out of them.
Any questions about is Sheffield United much of an upgrade is irrelevant. Players follow the money... Dieng, Armstrong, Willock and many many more too. As for snide comments about living in Sheffield, well that's just ignorant. As with all cities/regions... there are nice posh bits. I'm not convinced a young family with kids would want to live in the overcrowded congested stabby sprawl that is London anyway? London might appeal to a young single "playah" obsessed with training shoes and Instagram THOTs but beyond that demographic I'd doubt it has much pull.

That offer will likely still be there in June plus a signing on bonus equivalent to the fee they didn't spend today. Why would he sign for us tomoz when he can sit back and assess multiple offers in June?

Anything re Harvey Vale? I presumed he was going to be signed as a replacement for paal who must be off in the summer. Vale would have been a good option between now and may but seems like it was just paper talk as I don't even think the lad had his medical did he??

Hopefully, it will be announced before tomorrow's game that he's extended his contract with us. If not, then Dunne out and his £30k a week goes to Dunne. I'm glad he's still with us......if there's a chance he'll sign a new contract.
