Still not sure of the wisdom of sending Larkeche out on loan, unless we had a target LB in the summer and it didn't materialise.
Given his age! Fox is only 31 lol

I genuinely thought he was better than Paal last season when he got the nod to start occasionally. Given how underwhelming Paal has been this season I wonder if we could recall him? I've read snippets in recent weeks of clubs recalling loan players so it can happen.
Larkeche has been a success at Dundee, he had been playing really well and scored 2 or 3 I think. He's been injured for quite a while but he's there for the whole season I believe.

I suspect I may fall foul of legislation. In which case, let me rephrase - given the mild tailing off of his pace required by the position in the modern game.

Larkeche has only played 12 games for Dundee. No point in recalling an injured player who is not due to start training until mid Feb.

Tbh Fox had a right stinker in 1st game back from injury but he's been ok other than that, only really JCS carries any pace and Ronnie Edwards is no slouch

If we sign no one else this window, are we happy?

              Given the contract extensions.

Tbh you can only really see outgoings 1st
Lloyd and kolli on new deals I’d be surprised to see celar and Frey here next season perhaps Frey as he’s a useful battering ram

madsen can’t get a game over Morgan plus colback now fit and hopefully won’t get a ban as he’s probably only on 2 or 3 yellows. As for Saito just too lightweight imo Dembele should be back. In few weeks too

I think we could easily get better players in at full-back. Paal and Ashby are just "alright". Christ knows with Santos, is he even a footballer? Fox and Dunne are passable stand-ins.

A pair of solid hard-as-nails specialist fullbacks would upgrade our defence from being decent to being formidable.

That said, we've not had a pair of good fullbacks for a least a decade so maybe this is as good as it gets?

Overall would be happy enough. I see us as a work in progress and after our nightmare start I believe we have made progress. Happy to let current lot keep going and look again in summer. We do need to look at full backs longer term but, subject to any outgoings, think are doing well for a team of our budget and need to stick to the plan. Just having a plan is a step up!

                    • Transfer windows open both ways, doesn't appear to be anyone sniffing round our assets BUT..... in the frantic merry-go-round of moves to come, what if cash gets dangled in front of us for Nardi or Dunne or JCS or Field or Varane or anyone, even those who just signed on too? Getting through this window with our current match day squad all in tact would be like a "bonus signing".

                      • We seem to be playing as a team at the moment and you feel everyone is on the same page. Would see how this plays out and review end of season. Hopefully we will be in a position to attract quality players. If a player wants to leave then bid them farewell convincing them to stay never works.

                            • Dunne being linked with Sheff Utd. No idea if anything to it. As they are well in promotion mix would be step up, more money and possibility of Premiership football.

However would it just be a signing to help their promotion push with risk he will then see little action if they promoted?

One of those we should be looking to get signed up to a new contract.

                              • Cambridge Utd want to end Taylor Richards loan but need our agreement. Would it be worth having him back to boost our ranks for the rest of the season?
