Another cb linked..rather we just signed specialist full backs instead. Worth their weight gold at this level.

If paal gets injured again which he prob will as he has to play 2 times per week and do 90 mins cos we have on one else to fill in then we only have ourselves to blame. It's madness.

Also need a better right back. Ashby just makes too many mistakes and isn't actually any good for this league. Just cos he's on loan from a premier league club doesn't mean which have to play him and that he's better than what we have already.

Can't include Santos as we all know he's shocking and wouldn't look out of place on Hackney marshes.

I'd send ashby back and get a better player in. Loads of lads in league 1 who are better.

Seeing mention on FB that another forward from Shamrock Rovers may be on his way to us. 18 year old Cian Dillon. May be nothing in it.

QPR Development Squad have signed striker Cian Dillon from Shamrock Rovers.

Dillon, 18, is a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international who first joined Rovers at the age of 10.

He made his senior debut in April and also netted four times in six caps for Ireland U19s in 2024.

“I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” Cian told www.qpr.co.uk.

“To come to England and join a club like QPR is just a dream come true. I’m excited to get going.

Apart from bringing in young players, I wouldnt be suprised if the squad remains the same for the rest of the season. Surely we can manage with the players we've got?

Personally believe a LB is still crucial. Paal is still shaky as well as appearing to have no future at the club and cover is just not there. Get that one sorted and I do genuinely think we’re set.

                  Yeah, good shout.

Who have we put there as cover previously? I can't think now.......

Ashby really struggled in that position - understandably as it's not his position at all. Fox wasn't a great success either - again understandably given his age, despite playing there in the past. I think Marti dropped Saito back temporarily mid-game on one occasion, but again it's square pegs. Still not sure of the wisdom of sending Larkeche out on loan, unless we had a target LB in the summer and it didn't materialise.

Didn't we start out at 3 at the back or something and that might have been why they thought they would be ok without Larkeche and Saito can play there too at a push.

Just checked the first game against Baggies and Marti went with four - Dunne/Cook/JCS/Paal.

There was that Italian gent we were linked with who went elsewhere; maybe he was close. Maybe, as you say, Marti toyed with three but then changed the plan.

Larkeche! I'd forgotten him. Let's be honest, I don't think any of us thought it was a sensible decision back in August to farm him out and that decision looks even worse today. I genuinely thought he was better than Paal last season when he got the nod to start occasionally. Given how underwhelming Paal has been this season I wonder if we could recall him? I've read snippets in recent weeks of clubs recalling loan players so it can happen.
