What's that get? A whole Connor Washington or maybe two-thirds of a Macauley Bonne.......

We'll have to find another £5-10k a week to go with that to bring in anything close to a goalscorer. I can't think of any player that might get sold for money to help out with the finances. Hopefully the owners will dip into their bank balances and sort out the FFP within the next two seasons.

Is only at draft stage but I notice latest EFL FSP proposals revolve around restricting expenditure on salaries to a maximum of 85% of revenue.... I'd imagine that would be a right kick in the goolies for us. Presumably the suits and lawyers will find loopholes and wrinkles to exploit though.

But, if that sort of framework is on the horizon, ALL clubs would have to be mindful of signing marquee players on long contracts and big salaries.

It's how you define "revenue" and how associated directors and businesses can get into naming rights. I think that's the crux of the Man City issues.

The problem we have is there arent that many young fans about. We have a huge proportion of our fan base that looks 40+ or even 50+. There doesn't seem too many teenagers about....perhaps you think differently?

But even if the owners put in a a couple of millions, we'll still be shopping in the bargain bucket. Hopefully Stato can find a gem, otherwise it will be last minute deals in Jan which will mean the relegation battle will go right to the wire, again!!

I feel we have decent amount of young 'uns. It becomes more obvious at away games I think - I remember being surprised at Burnley and Leeds how many there were, it seemed that about 25% of our support were lads in 16-25 age bracket, boisterous noisy rowdy bunch they are too! I do have to caveat this with the fact EVERYONE looks young to me nowadays and these kids might really be 40-something

Loads and loads of youngsters at Watford.
I Was at derby and our fans seemed a lot older maybe the farther we travel the older they get

That’s not a rumour, just a site suggesting a player we should go in for

Correct, I didn't put the caveat "Journo mentioning......." like I did for a previous one.

Should look at richard kone at wycombe , ridiculous scoring record in non league and has now started scoring regularly in league below , wouldn't cost the earth in transfer or wages either

Smells a bit of Ravel but
hey we've got a history of having a crack (pun intended) at lost causes.
