Surely we spaffed what little money we had on Varane, Celar and Madsen? It's therefore difficult to see how we fund any incomings. Can't keep wishing for Eze money like a desperate gambler chasing their losses, particularly given he's off-the-boil and/or crocked plus Palace are in a slump and might feel disinclined to sell a player capable of saving their season.

Maybe Ruben will find a bit of loose change down back of his couch, but blimey he must be getting near end of his tether in terms of dipping into his wallet.

We could have money to spend but who in the right mind who want to join our lot?? Seriously. Would you? Imagine your agent saying a few clubs are interested, one of them is qpr. First thing you would say is well I ain't going there. Bottom of the league and you have to play next to people like Santos and madsen!! No chance.

Loans, all about loans. Could make all the difference especially up front.

We'd be silly to spend too much at the moment, may well need it this summer.

The Eze "sell-on" clause is widely reported as 20% I believe? Could we approach Palace and offer to tear up the clause for £10million? Would you even ask?

It's a good question, but if you had £10 million right now, what could / would you do with it?

That's the kind of money we need when we are sitting in 6th place mid November and primed for a push up the table with Jan signings.

Getting it now i'm not sure we'd be able to attract anyone of real value long term, and it would just get swallowed up.

It's the kind of thing we do if we are proper f&&cked.

The rumour is also thst the release clause is £60m, so at the top end it's £12m to us. I can't really see too much incentive for them to pay us £10m instead. A 50% discount to £6m might be enough of a financial incentive to them.

But if Palace get relegated then Eze might get sold for £40m, so top end would be £8m and half that being £4m. If I was in Palace's shoes this would be my thinking, £4m take it or leave it.

Swapping out a forward who has scored 0 in 15 in poor team for one that has scored 3 in 16 in a good team doesn't seem like a move forward.

Knowing us we will sign another couple of goalkeepers which seems to be our obsession!

I noticed another trialist goalkeeper played this week!

Last time Hamadi popped up his mugshot looked like Terry Thomas, actor famous for playing bounders and cads. I really want to sign him because of this... the idea of a pantomime villain playing up front amuses me plus it's better than the effing pantomime dame we currently have up top......

Kolli & EDB leaving in Jan should free up approx £5k a week towards another striker.

I think Oslo was saying in the summer that this is a new FFP cycle and finances should be better.

Im just wondering whether we've done our yearly budget, or whether we'll throw a bit more at it and hope to balance it out in a couple of seasons? I'm not convinced we'll see anymore Bhatia money coming in through creative sponsorship though.

My heart tells me we might get a few more permi signings in the early window to get us up the table. But my head is telling me we might get some loans in late in the window

EDB and Kolli need to go to free up some wages. Even in these injury plagued times, neither can get a look in.
