What is best? If we go down at least we might win a couple of games and you never know, we might even score a goal at home and even better, win a home game!!!

If we continue to sign players on the cheap we are going down , wether this season or next , we need to spend some money obviously within ffp rules in Jan get a manager that likes to play front foot football , go at teams , none of this sit back and nick the odd result. Middlesborough are a prime example, they go out to try and dominate and win games , does'nt always work but at least they are a decent side to watch. They don't spend millions , couple of mill here and there and they're always near the top. If our owners don't want to spend and have the 3rd lowest budget in the league every year then i'd rather go down and maybe win a few games next season. The last few years being a Rangers fan has been absolutely ####.

It does look very bleak this season, don’t think sacking Marti is going to make much difference now, neither is getting in a load of new players in January. I think our only hope now is Trump getting in and WW3 erupting, next 50 seasons cancelled and then we can have a proper reset. Anyone know if we would have to start season 2075/76 in the Championship or League One?

Interesting though isn’t it, many of us including me tbh were delighted with our transfer activity in the summer all getting sucked in with the data based international signings! Some in time will come good, Nardi, Dembele, Kaito, Morrison and Varane look ok.
I’ve mentioned on numerous occasions that the stats don’t lie - without JCS and Colback in the team we’ve won something like 1 in 18 games. We are unbelievably reliant on these 2 but both cannot be relied upon and as a result their continued absence will see us relegated in my opinion

We shoukd have gone down with Ainsworth and should now be building to come back up.
Marti did well last year but for whatever reason can't seem to recreate anything even close to that.
If it's the personnel then i'm confused as we've not lost many, a similar team could still be put o the pitch to last year. If it's him and his tactics, then he's to blame and not sure he's the right man to sort it out long term.
I would still stick with him if only for continuity and lack of better options, but facts are we are worse off than under GA which is shocking to say.

We need to stay up if we can but bottom line is we can't score goals and that doesn't look like it will change. We are a couple of months from the January window so even if we made two or three signings who could change that I can see us being rock bottom and it being too late. My gloomy prediction on relegation is the likes of JCS, Chair and Field will leave for peanuts so we can forget about any meaningful incoming money barring Eze being sold for good money by Palarse. Madsen and Celar will either be sold for a fraction of what we paid or if no buyers then loaned out to a foreign side. Those players whose contracts are ending will leave.
So the above will leave us looking at what happens next. I see two scenarios. More players leave over and above that and we are left with virtually nothing which is reminiscent of the last time we were in League One and I can see it taking a few seasons to build. With option 2 we will not be doing a Birmingham but owners could decide to step up, we keep a handful of potentially key players and by League One standards chuck a decent amount at bringing in new signings and loans. That is my hope. If we do that then we could go back up within a year or two and best case scenario with some momentum and a more cohesive team.
Key players for me include goalkeeper. We have Nardi and two younger keepers. The younger ones would benefit from a season in League One so I personally would make them battle it out for number one jersey. Nothing wrong with Nardi in my view but we need to look long term. Defender wise we haven't seen much of him but Morrison has played League One before and done well so make him a regular. Try and keep Cook for a year to give us some solidity and general leadership. Midfield if Varane keeps improving try and keep him and make him main central midfielder. Going forwards keep Dembele and make him key remaining attacking player. Outside of that have likes of Morgan, Lloyd and maybe Kolli as squad players and if they can become regulars then great. If any other youngsters look potentially League One standard add them to the squad mix. Still leaves one hell of a rebuild but if done competently we should do ok and give us a solid enough base to build on. Personally would prefer a break from being absolutely **** year on year even if it means being in a lower division. It is not fun any more and has not been for a while.
