  • We are not ready

We are miles short of where we want to be squad wise. I know people will remain positive saying it's not the end of the window and time to buy more but can we really afford to play catch up again with us having a few losses to begin with. No goals in our last 3 games. Barely any shots on target either. Once again, goal scoring will be our problem. I feel that unless someone invests in us, then we will have the same problem every season. Playing catch up with signings with the little pot we have

I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

I don't think there's been much activity in the prem let alone the championship. I think most teams are in the same situation.

We'll muddle through Aug as best we can.

I think Supahupa10101 is spot on, we are not ready for the start of the season. Our season starts in September. If we pick up a few points in August, all the better. The transfer window should shut before the season starts. We have very little up front as things stand whatever way you cut it.

Chair still not in any of the training photos. This ‘back’ injury is dragging on. Unfortunately without him we lack creativity.

I’m certain that the board/Marti aware and doing their best to address but we lack pace also. I can’t see where the goals are coming from and as we all know goals wins games.

Can’t rely on Kolli and Smyth lacks end product.

Might be a tricky August and we all need to be patient and calm I think (including me!)

Whilst we can take media reports with a pinch of salt looks like the club are trying to sort out the lack of width and creativity but lot of competition out there for more attacking players.

Personally think we need to consider three at the back with say Anderson playing behind two strikers until we sign one or two reinforcements. As it stands we have only him and Smyth supplying the bullets and just not working. With Anderson behind front two and two wing back types might keep us solid and give us some shape albeit can still see us struggling to create an awful lot.

As usual will be busy latter part of transfer window for us and others.

Not sure what to expect but let's keep our faith in Marti. He won't be under any delusions about where our problems are. I have a feeling that Frey might be a pleasant surprise this season.

I look at that squad with the no's coming out and certainly looks wafer thin. So many under 23's filling the gaps to make up a squad it quite frightening. We're so lucky so have Marti who will get an extra 25% out of these players but I do hope we make some more much needed strikers. Losing Willock is going to be a massive blow is we don't open the cheque book, because there should definitely still be money for marti
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Even after the loan window closes we can bring in loans from other countries if their window is open, and also free agents at any time.

We signed Andersen after the Jan window when he became a free agent.

We have always known that the majority of transfer business will take place in the last days of the transfer window. We have signed six players so far (Nardi, Marrison, Santos, Varane, Celar and Bennie) and we have got rid of 13 (Willock, Begovic, Dozzell, Adomah, Kakay, Drewe, Archer, Duke-McKenna, Gubbins, Kelman, Larkeche, Cooper, Richards). Despite this, here will be plenty of outgoing and incoming players between now and 1 September (my guess: four out and eight in, including loan deals).

I am equally frustrated as everyone else with the mismatch between the starting date of the new season and the closing date of the transfer window, but it is what it is and there is no reason to panic. Other Championship clubs are facing the same dilemma. We have to get through August as best as we can. The team will look different come September, with lots of new attacking options.

We are looking quite good defensively, so I hope we can keep clean sheets in August and get away with a couple 0-0 draws and maybe win a match by a single goal.

CR had just issued a club statement which includes reference to the very difficult window because so many teams are struggling with FFP.

I guess that means team are holding out for top dollar for their outbound players and want cheaper incoming players.

The reality of the situation won't hit home until the tail end of the window.

So much for the constant rumours on JCS and Eze.
