All these games getting shifted for Sky must really muck up the daily/weekly routine that coaches, physios, nutritionists, psychologists etc want to implement.
Eight flipping games from now til August at 12:30. Is that now an overnight to Blackburn? Even for home games I presume players will have to get up much earlier, those carrying knocks even earlier in order to be assessed.
I'm not an athlete but I like my routine - I think a routine is part of peaking for optimal mental and physical performance.
Obviously we and all clubs will just have to suck it up but when fine margins have a huge impact on results I reckon it will be the clubs that can handle and best organise their routines around a choppy fixture list that will potentially do well.
Will be interesting to see how players maintain standards game by game.
