  • Squad to thin again

Worryingly thin again , just wondering what’s happening, another season of struggles ahead

I’d imaging if jcs goes well recruit further up the field be a big help if Eze goes too

looks Like Varane will come in so I’d say that we’re not going to bother with Hayden

just feel we need some pace

This Varane deal really seems to be dragging on!

I guess we're shopping for late bargains due to the budget. But as Shaggy says, that might change if any money comes in. Again, teams don't seem to be falling over themselves to sign our players!

      Patience is the word

I've said this before but I think we will not be ready for the start of the season but come September we'll have the needed new recruits. It's wrong that the season starts whilst the window is still open because you have to wait for other teams to make moves before your targets become available.

Didn't we also sign free agents after the window closed last year?

We will sign more but some will be nearer end of transfer window as we are waiting on any outgoings, some targets will be waiting to see if they will get better offers and as deals happen elsewhere that may mean other potential deals come into being.

We have done pretty well so far but always a pain having to wait until last minute when we are short of numbers.

I'm really not seeing the problem. Today we can field a competitive 15. There are only 4 league games whilst transfer window is open so its not like the every other team will be out of sight come September... I suspect virtually every other fanbase is fretting about lack of players in several positions. I accept we need some recruits but our basic spine looks very very capable to me. I remain excited and upbeat about our prospects, I'm even thinking we might get past Cambride after pens!

We didn't look great against Reading and we certainly miss Hayden, Chair and Willock. Yes we generally have better players than a year ago, we just don't have them in all positions yet. We've lost loads of players.
