There can't be anything going on with the sale of JCS if we're playing him.

If a £7m bid was pending surely we wouldn't play him? Or, is a run out in a friendly a good thing?

More intriguing why Chair is not in again.

Slight back problem from picking up rubbish in Brussels?

Poor start against a weak Reading side. Very pedestrian and we lose the ball too easily.

Sorry fellas, but there is something missing still.
                    There is no threat.
Smythy I like, but we need a better more consistent crosser. He can only pick out the man, about one in five crosses.
We desperately need another Chair type player.
We have created nothing, apart from a long pass from Anderson.
We have the ball but get caught up in just passing around our own half.
Don't expect top 6 that some of our supporters are predicting unless we have more personel changes.
                    Imo of course

There must be more incomings. We've lost loads of players.

There is something worrying in this. Usually, there will be mention of why a player is missing but there is nothing. There was mention a while back of a slight back issue but I've heard nothing since. I'm concerned that there is more to his absence than we are led to believe. I hope to be proved wrong.

We have lost 11 players and signed 4 (or 5 if you count Bennie, but he was signed for the Development squad).

I think a few more players will leave (i.e., speculations surrounding Dykes, Paal and JCS), so I expect us to sign 8-10 players from now until the window closes. Hence, the team we field on September 1st will look different from the one we have seen today.

But I agree that today has been a very disappointing showing, and so different from the Spurs match. It feels a big step backwards, even though I know it is just a friendly.
