I have chosen to put this particular post on this thread, rather than respond to the attention seekers elsewhere.

Just a few moments ago, the 3 latest threads on the forum were in relation to the contents of SM's original post and future planned discussion.

Unbelievably, all three of the aforementiond threads have been started by people that felt it was OK to attempt to belittle SM's efforts regarding the time he spent with GP. One in particular, even has the gall to ask how it would be possible to arrange a meeting with GP himself as, to quote: "but I have no idea how I could go about it".

These are the people who have accused SM of being taken in by a smooth talking operator, but cannot seem to arrange such an appointment themselves. One of these people then responds on one of the others' threads by suggesting a bit of "brown nosing" would help their cause.

I may well be being somewhat old fashioned here, but I am astonished that anybody could sit and criticise someone else's efforts and then go on to start a separate thread, (attention seeking of the highest order), requesting that his future conversation be recorded or that one of them accompanies him at the proposed meeting. Why would this be? Do they doubt that he will produce an accurate account of the meeting? Do they feel he is incapable of deducing for himself wether or not the answers he gets are genuine and will instead be taken in again?

I have never met SM, and I certainly would not seek to give him advice as to how to deal with these requests, but I know exactly what I would be telling these people if I was in his position.

Can someone please help me out here and explain just why, certain people can be quite rude or insulting to someone else without good reason, who is a supporter of the same club with presumably the same desire for QPR to be successful, and yet when the insults do not appear to have the desired effect they then start to ask him for information?

I think one of the phrases used to describe SM's efforts was "fawning". If ever there was a case of the pot calling the kettle black, then this is about as impressive as it can get.

You are appreciated by most for your match reports and great input on this messageboard.

The problem is not you but it is the subject on what you are covering.

GP is disliked by quite a few and they see this Q & A with him as a perfect way of getting answers. My question sounded anti GP but I really don't have a problem with him staying. I just have concerns that IF Warnock doesn't get the job then GP will, like he always has, interfere with what should be the 'managers' role.

Although I do feel he has been manipulated, I respect the efforts he puts into seeing his club play and the trouble he goes to in writing up a match report, which is for our benifit.

To suggest i'm attention seeking is far from the truth, just intregued as to how he managed to set the meeting up. Would love to meet the man myself.

I have not spoken to W12 regarding his comment about the dictaphone, but would imagine he would like to hear how Gianni reacts to certain questions rather than for proof that he asked the questions

Have to say Terry that I am generally in agreement with what you say and have said but I did think that 'manipulated' was probably too strong a word in this instance. Just my opinion. Perhaps comment should be saved until after we have seen the results of the interview.

Terry Ball it seems you and the rangersboys spinners are putting personal vendettas ahead of the club.

SM never gets political and provides well balanced match reports, which take alot of time and effort for the benefit of other fans.

Already sly comments are being aimed his way, the only thing he has suggested was a great day he had on Saturday, much of that down to one person. Swallow some pride and say wel done Gianni for making his day something to remember, its not that difficult.

Great work I applaud you for your tenacity (and cheek) Remeber for every negative comment on here re your chat with GP there is at least 10 positive ones. There is (and probably always will be) just a vociferous minority who will dig at anyone at anytime about anything (especilaly if it's something they havn't thought of or been involved in)!!!!

Not wishing to get into personal arguments with anyone to be fair as it serves no purpose.

However,

I just feel that this sort of comment is not helpful, although not as bad as some I've seen. Whilst I may realise that the general inference is that your opinion of GP is not as good as you would like it to be, others may perceive it to be a bit of a dig. To your credit, you have at least apologised if you caused the young man any offence wether you intended to or not.

For all I know, you may well know things about GP that would change people's perceptions of him and I have no particular opinions one way or another as I do not have access to the facts with which to form them.

Pete and MYU also get an absurd amount of stick on here sometimes, with certain people suggesting that they make money out of advertising and so on as just one example, which although they do not, would surely be no concern of anyone else. They have provided us all with an excellent way to discuss things about our club, but unfortunately, certain people just see fit to have a pop at them without actually knowing the facts.

Unfortunately, because many people are happy to criticise others without knowing the facts, it does tend to lead to unnecessary hostilities at times.

I'd best stop there as I do not wish to appear to be preaching at anyone, just hoping that some could be a little more civil at times, even when disagreeing with others.

I do find it quite hurtful that people have decided to turn on me, I really thought WE were all QPR? I've only done this as an opportunity for us to try and not only get some answers, but also try and set things straight as far as where we are heading etc.

Like I said, I'm baffled as to what I have done wrong, but will put my heart and soul into making sure that those genuine fans messages get heard.
