  • Sounds fishy.. I'd have guessed 5'11" tops. Maybe goalies are like wrestlers and add 10% to their actual height. Judging by this pic he might just squeak over 6' I suppose....

    • John Burridge was a comparative pygmy in comparison, just 5ft 9in, but he made the best save I have ever seen from a Rangers goalie, away at Charlton in a 2-1 win in 1981, simply breathtaking.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

        • He is probably shrinking, age get us all.

          • I know pre season training hasn’t started yet but I would have thought there would be more transfer rumours doing the rounds by now, there’s nothing on none of the usual websites

Ain't we feeding off the prem scraps?

When they make their big signings they'll know who theyre prepared to sell or loan out. Players are still on holiday too. What we do will depend on whether Eze, JCS and Chair get sold.

I doubt we'll do anything for another 3-4 weeks

              • It cuts both ways.... we're not hearing stuff about players leaving either. Don't wanna to start reading guff about players we need/want to be here next season attracting attention.

                • I see that some Premier League teams may have found a loophole to PSR - it's only a short term fix though and pushes the problem into later years. They buy a player from each other at inflated prices. Both teams get immediate profit for the sales but can amortise the purchase price over the up to 5 year contract length so those that have breached FFP/PSR can get a quick fix to avoid points deduction this year and sort it out over 5 years.

Eze being sold for £120m would do nicely!

                      • I may be wrong but that Al Hamadi bit looks like just some journo on FLW writing a "what if" article.

                        • Nardi.......keeper

Championship side Queens Park Rangers are pressing to get their hands on French goalkeeper Paul Nardi on a free transfer.

                          • Looks like Asmir has left and Nardi is coming in.

                            • Nardi rumour is from some obscure french 'journalist' on twitter and picked up by clickbait sites. He has not played since Dec 1st due to a serious injury and was not offered a new contract. Would be surprised if this went through.

                              • At present we are down to two young keepers. Walsh seems highly rated, did reasonably well in last game of season, and Mahoney was getting rave reviews on his loan prior to injury. In theory two promising keepers who could fight it out. We do though need a third so someone like Nardi or similar would make sense. A reasonable amount of experience and able to compete with other two. They will have a solid defence in front of them which will be a huge help whoever is between the sticks.

Tend to agree with other posters I am not expecting loads of new signings. We need roughly a handful plus replacing any senior players who leave. I am fine with that. This season (subject to who leaves) we have the basis of a decent squad. Still not convinced team balance wise but we all know how we improved last season and no reason with some tweaking we can't carry that through. Assuming Willock leaves we need a replacement of some kind for him, a decent Championship striker (permanent or loan), probably an additional central midfielder for competition/cover, left back and a little padding out generally.

We have enough that we can enter the summer window cautiously optimistic which makes a nice change!
