[QUOTE=Harrow QPR;n2592346]
To still be losing a so called £500k per month or whatever it is and for us to still have a crap team with hardly any players that have a good sale fee just goes to show how incompetent our owners are.
It is worse than that. In 2021/22 the loss was ca £2.000k per per month, not £500k. I think it might have improved to ca £1.250-1.500k per month last season but it is still an awful lot.
I fully agree that our owners have little competence how to run a football club. However, they are not trying to recoup their losses by not spending. They are restricted by FFP because of previous mismanagement. As Sheep points out it is almost impossible to operate with a profit in the Championship.
We are now searching for a new DOF. Clever owners, like those Arab ones owning Man City, Newcastle etc, stay away from daily business, but make sure they employ very competent DOFs that overlook all football decisions. I think our future depends on getting a good DOF onboard that can restructure the football side of things - everything from the academy to the scouting system, the analysis and the medical side of the club . I am happy to see that the owners have appointed a specialist recruitment firm, as I do not trust them to find the right DOF.

Not a rumour but I note that Fulham are keen to loan striker Jay Stansfield to the Championship. He was at League 1 Exeter last season on loan and did well so may be worth a punt. Gamble though given previous lower league strikers we've signed. I know it's not QPR related as such so please don't give me all that rubbish.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

We are interested apparently and Fulham want him to go to the Championship given how well he done with Exeter.
