Varane is certainly a step up from Colback and Dixon-Bonner.

Johnston would be a great signing but I don't think he would class us as a step up from wba last season. He will be looking at clubs in the top 6. If his agent is any good then he shouldn't come to us. Bet I'd love it if he did. Would love a decent winger at rangers. Give me a routledge or a lee cook any day of the week. Even mark Kennedy is his short spell was step above what we have had in a long time....

    good signing

although in his interview when asked about his attribute s he said i like to Defend!

We are linked with defenders again

We need more in the final 3rd.

I know he probably wouldn't want to come but Mickey Johnston on loan from celtic would be a good signing.

Was great for WBA last season - WBA looking like they will fall foul of P&S rules so will not be able to sign any more players this window

Seems to have taken a while. Hope it was more a case of "red tape" than him prevaricating and delaying in the hope of a "better" club emerging with some interest. Also hope we haven't been backed into a corner and splurged too much of our budget cos we still need a kitty in hand to bring in some more. Feels like it's now gonna be Eze money that determines the level of quality we can bring in. I wonder if we have board-level back channels with Selhurst Park about state of affairs there with Eze?

To hear the Varane deal is over the line is cracking news, we definitely needs some bodies and he hopefully will work out as a classy signing. In Marti we trust

So Larkeche replaces him at Dundee? I'm sure there could be a lot more to it, but even so..?

I could never understand why Watford were prepared to pay a fee for Paal, when we think we could replace him with better from Europe and consider ourselves to be up on the deal...Watford are active in the same market as us, but seems to want to pay more for worse..?

I agree Jeff we have a tendency to announce new signings and parade them on match days lately

also the new cb and santos did interviews at training ground and announced prior to friendly matches in Spain so they were probably sealed a week before being announced as we trained for fair few days before 1st game

Watford just signed an LB on loan - Yasser Larouchi from Troyes - so I would think any offer for Paul is not on the cards now.

I’ve been following Frabotta since his debut with Andrea Pirlo as Coach in Juventus First Team (2020/2021) when he made 16 appearances.
He’s a good player, very professional, only not good enough for Serie A.
Juventus is currently selling most of their former Under 23 Footballers (Frabotta is one of them) and he’s been playing in Serie B (Italian Second Division) for the last three years.
Personally, I’d be very happy to trade Paal for him.
    Nice to hear. Thank you.

Has there been any news on whether Jimmy Dunne will extend his contract?...The club triggered a 1 year extension in May last I heard.
