To improve and move up the table we will need to be clever in the transfer market with a fresh approach under Nourry/Marti and also look to get a couple of decent quality Prem loans in. A handful of decent permanent signings and a couple of loans could make a huge difference in addition to our core players. I am not though expecting any sustained play off charge. If we are competitive and consistent would be happy with anything around the top ten.

We have gone for broke before in the hope of promotion challenges and didn't end so well! Would far rather slower sustained improvement within our means.
With the owners pumping in £12m a season they may well decide not to fund that money for 2.5 seasons, which would make us sustainable. This could be their sell point as a blue print for future investment.

It would be great if they'd continue to put in the £12m and spread the £30m over three seasons giving us a £10m budget increase next season. That extra £192k a week could go a long way to fund loans and decent free transfers. Perhaps £5m for transfers and an extra £95k a week on budget..??

We'll just have to wait and see in the summer what the strategy is. No doubt the narrative will be we're skint so agents don't play us for fools.

Yeah, could you imagine having 20% of the Eze sale and being in League 1.

I've just realised that Hull have a very poor home record of late, they haven't won at home for over 2 months. In fact, they only have 1 home win in 2024 and that was a narrow 1-0 over Millwall. We are better away. My expectations for Saturday have increased.

Teams like Leicester are bottle jobs
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I hope Leicester stay in thr championship as the financial impact may make them another Sheff Wed. Bloody awful tonight and Plymouth haven't got much threat about them. This is a p1$$ poor average league.....that's what makes it so frustrating

If we went down to league 1 and Eze was sold all of that money and more would be needed to ensure we don't go under.

Do we think Rotherham will turn up against Birmingham or will they see it as an oppotunity to take their local rivals Sheff Weds down with them? A lot of Rotherham fans want them to lose the match for that reason. Personally I think I'd prefer Birmingham to beat Huddersfield in the following match anyway because our goal diff gives us the edge over Huddersfield so I'm gearing up for us having to finish ahead of Sheff Weds snd Huddersfield.

Would have been nice had Wednesday lost but would rather be in our position than those below us. Personally think a point will likely do it to be on the safe side. Based on their form think it highly unlikely Birmingham will win their last two games and a point would mean they would have to do that to get past us. Similar with Wednesday. A point would mean we would beat them on goal difference if they got four. Plymouth aside from odd game have been dire for ages. Unless they have one of their out of kilter games and nick a win wouldn't surprise me if they don't get another point. Blackburn better goal difference if they catch us up, winnable game at home to Coventry but they have been very poor at home and then away to Leicester who may be in holiday mood by then. Not forgetting Stoke who are level with us away to Southampton and home to Brizzle so a winnable but tough last game.

70% there but need to go all out against Leeds and possibly Coventry to make sure.

I think a point from our last 2 matches could very well be required to stay up, here's why:

Blackburn 1 point behind us and will have a superior GD if we lose both At home to a knackered Coventry who have nothing to play for, away to Leicester, so a draw or win with Coventry

Plymouth 2 points behind with superior GD, @Millwall who are safe, nothing to play for, home to Hull, once again nothing to play for

Wednesday 3 points back with inferior GD, WBA out of form and really nothing to play for @ Sunderland, poor side on the beach, SW unbeaten in 4

Birmingham 4 points back GD will be superior if we lose both and they win and draw @ Huddersfield, this is a key match, Home to Norwich, once again resting for the play off semi

Obviously the key is to get at least a point but that is not a given for us, as unlikely as it may be I can see the above negative scenarios all playing out, I don't know what the bookies are giving on our relegation, it was 8% after the Easter weekend! Call me a bed wetter but I am a little nervous! Let's beat Leeds Friday and put this to rest!

It is explained well in this with bookies odds:
