      cross it Dave re: Notifications. Click on the down arrow to the right of notifications, then select message centre, then click dismiss all.
      Notifications are when you either subscribe to a thread, all replies to that thread will be sent to your message centre, create a thread that people reply to.

      In reference to being logged out when you start to compose a thread, I am unsure, so will tag our I.T. guy here to see if he can work that one out. agoodm

                https://support.apple.com/en-gb/105082 shows how you can interact with these settings, cookies are required for certain features of the site. If you block them things will break.

                    I would clear cookies, reboot device and then try again.

                    In reply to the spam issue; the site is on the receiving end of what appears to be a human powered spam wave originating from Asia. Works are under way to put a stop to this.

                              Hey Dave, we're still looking into this, but could you let us know what browser you are using to access the site?

                              Also, if anyone else is getting the same issue with logging in, please reply here and let us know the device, browser etc you are using.
